Through technology, innovation and operational excellence, we help our clients deliver outstanding services to their customers.\nTo support our continued growth, we are expanding our Porto Quality Engineering and Test Enablement capability\nand are looking for a QA Lead to join our Porto office.\nWhat will you do?\nAs a QA Lead, you play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day activities of our Test Specialists and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery. You translate priorities into clear plans, coordinate work across teams, monitor progress and dependencies, and provide hands-on technical leadership where needed. You act as the operational bridge between Porto and Capelle aan den Ijssel and the different value streams, helping teams deliver high-quality software while continuously improving testing, automation and quality engineering practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate the execution of the Test Enablement backlog and ensure predictable delivery.\n\nPlan and distribute work across Test Specialists based on priorities, capacity and expertise.\n\nMonitor progress, quality risks, dependencies and impediments, and escalate where required.\n\nProvide technical guidance and coaching on testing, quality engineering and test automation.\n\nCollaborate closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, delivery teams and other stakeholders in Porto and the Netherlands.\n\nPromote knowledge sharing, technical standards and consistent ways of working.\n\nDrive the adoption of reusable test automation, quality controls and CI/CD quality practices.\n\nMonitor and report on automation coverage, regression status and quality risks.\n\nSupport the implementation of improvements in tooling, test data, environments and reporting.\n\nContribute hands-on to complex testing and automation activities where needed.\n\nThis is you\nYou are a hands-on leader who enjoys helping teams succeed. You bring structure to complex situations, know how to coordinate multiple priorities and are comfortable working in a dynamic Agile environment. You enjoy coaching specialists, removing obstacles and continuously looking for ways to improve quality, collaboration and efficiency. With your technical background and strong communication skills, you easily connect people, teams and stakeholders across locations.\nRequirements\nWhat do you need for this position ?\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or another relevant technical field.\n\n5+ years of experience designing and maintaining automated test solutions.\n\nExperience in software testing and test automation, including test design, test execution and maintenance of automated tests.\n\nExperience with reusable, compliant test data and test environment management.\n\nHands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar tooling.\n\nHands-on experience with front-end test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, FitNesse or comparable solutions.\n\nExperience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated quality controls.\n\nExperience with Agile ways of working such as Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe.\n\nAbility to apply risk-based testing and clearly communicate quality risks and test results.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with performance, load, stress testing and JMeter experience strongly preferred.\n\nExperience with reusable, compliant test data and test environment management.\n\nKnowledge of risk-based testing and structured methods such as ISTQB and/or TMap.\n\nExperience within financial services, fintech or other regulated environments.\n\nWhat do we offer you?\nWorking at Quion means joining a young, ambitious, and dynamic organization with open communication and a strong team spirit.
