The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. \nBachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required;\nFour (4) years of purchasing experience;\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nCOMPETENCIES\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. \nAbility to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, and other employees of the organization.\nRequires advanced math abilities. \nAbility to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. \nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. \nExcellent working knowledge MS Word and Excel.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
