Internally you work across architects and engineers globally to help drive architecture standards, team support and accelerator development.\nYou are a passionate AWS advocate that loves data and AI - someone who lights up talking about the technology, earns instant credibility with AWS engineers and client architects alike.\n Responsibilities\nPlatform Architecture/Approach Pre-Sales Efforts:\nPartner with Blend Client Partners and Business Development Leaders across North America to drive sales efforts around data platform and AI Application architectures and approach, supporting proposals, workshops, and other sales activities.\nLead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution demonstrations that connect client challenges to AWS-based outcomes\nEngage directly with AWS field technical teams (SAs, Specialist SAs) to co-develop solutions and strengthen joint co-sell motions\nEnsure smooth pre-sales to delivery handoffs, maintaining solution integrity and client confidence through the engagement lifecycle, and delivery activities where needed.\nTechnical Leadership and AWS Community\nServe as Blend’s primary AWS advocate in North America client-facing engagements, articulating the business and technical value of cloud-native, data, and AI architectures on AWS. \nWork across regions with Blend’s architects and AI Engineers to establish best practices recommendations and help create a community around AWS to provide support to teams and ensure we stay at the cutting edge of AWS approaches.\nWork with appropriate AWS counterparts to align on relevant upskilling and collaboration.\nContribute to thought leadership through case studies, blog posts, and speaking engagements at AWS and industry events\nExecutive Presence & GTM Alignment\nYou will regularly participate and lead leadership touchpoints within Blend and with AWS\nFrequently lean in with client CTO and CIO’s to whiteboard solution design, and simplify and standardize to communicate complex concepts with confidence to less technical executive audiences\nApply creative thinking on where is there opportunity for Blend to drive more client value using AWS - translating technical capabilities into business opportunities.\n 15+ years of experience in data or platform architectures, with at least 5 in cloud architecture, solution engineering, or technical pre-sales with a deep focus on AWS\nStrong understanding of AI and deep usage experience.\nHands-on expertise across core data and AI services including compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics, ML/AI (SageMaker, Bedrock), and serverless\nStrong understanding of real-time and batch architectures and the implications on solution design across analytical and agentic systems.\nDemonstrated ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with sales teams in a pre-sales or solution engineering capacity\nStrong track record of designing and presenting AWS-based solutions to enterprise audiences at both technical and executive levels\nExperience engaging with AWS field teams and navigating co-sell processes, partner programs, and AWS Marketplace\nGenuine passion for AWS technology and a drive to be a credible, enthusiastic advocate for cloud transformation\nExceptional communication skills with fluency in both technical architecture discussions and business value storytelling\nAWS certifications required; Solutions Architect Professional or specialty certifications (Data, ML, Security) strongly preferred\nExperience with data engineering, generative AI, or agentic AI workloads on AWS is a strong differentiator\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred\nThe starting pay range for this role is $260k - $275k. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
