Learn more about us at www.blg.com.\nPurpose of Role\nThe Manager, Talent Advisory leads the delivery of talent advisory services for an assigned business area or region, partnering with leaders to address people priorities, strengthen organizational capability and support an exceptional employee experience.\nThis position is for a 14-month contract.\nKey Responsibilities\nTalent Advisory & Employee Relations\nAdvise and coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns and other complex people matters.\nSupport workplace investigations and guide leaders through performance improvement, disciplinary and resolution processes.\nProvide practical, risk-informed advice aligned with Firm policies, employment legislation and best practices.\nRecruitment, Workforce Planning & Employee Lifecycle\nPartner with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment and key talent decisions.\nOversee employee lifecycle matters, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, leaves, accommodations and departures.\nProvide guidance on compensation and title recommendations in alignment with established Firm practices and governance.\nTalent Management & Development\nPartner with leaders on employee development, engagement, career planning and retention.\nSupport talent reviews and succession planning to identify development opportunities and future talent needs.\nCoordinate learning and development initiatives that strengthen individual and leadership capability.\nTalent Programs & Operations\nLead and contribute to Talent initiatives and projects that support business and Firm priorities.\nUse workforce data and insights to inform recommendations and decision-making.\nIdentify opportunities to improve Talent processes, consistency and service delivery.\nSupport equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives through education, training and policy guidance.\nSupport compliance with applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline.\n5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in an advisory or HR business partnering environment.\nStrong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and demonstrated experience advising leaders on complex employee relations and performance matters.\nStrong judgement, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide practical advice in a complex professional environment.\nBLG is committed to building a diverse workplace reflective of the communities we serve and to fostering an inclusive culture where Firm members feel valued, respected and inspired to thrive as their authentic selves.
