Within the Properties Team, the Facilities Management (FM) team manages facilities, building services, supplier performance, risk, compliance, and sustainability activity. The Corporate Facilities Manager role sits within the FM Team and brings together the coordination of national facilities works with hands-on Auckland corporate facilities management at BNZ Place Auckland and the BNZ Centre in Hamilton.\nMō te Tūranga | About the Role\nWe sat down with the People Leader (who you will report to) and they told us the following about the role:\nThis is a permanent, full time opportunity based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.\nWhat are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?\nCoordinate the delivery of planned maintenance and repairs.\nPlan and deliver annual and quarterly works schedules.\nMonitor service delivery levels.\nKeep stakeholders informed on works and disruptions.\nSupport financial and environmental administration.\nWhat is the team culture and environment like?\nThe BNZ Properties team is practical, collaborative and service-focused. The environment is busy and varied, with a strong emphasis on helping each other, solving operational issues quickly, and delivering workplaces that support BNZ colleagues and customers.\nWhat projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?\nThe candidate will coordinate all BNZ FM activity, from planning and budgeting through to service delivery. The role is responsible for Auckland and Hamilton corporate facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance, building services assurance, value management, risk and compliance, and sustainability reporting. Over the next year, it will focus on improving facilities processes, service quality, data accuracy, and how BNZ manages planned works and workplace changes.\nWhat do we want you to know before you apply?\nThis is a hands-on facilities role in a complex, multi-site organisation. You will need to be comfortable working with suppliers, systems, stakeholders and operational detail, and you should enjoy being part of a team that makes workplaces safer, smoother and more effective.\nYou will have a clean, full Drivers Licence and the ability to travel within New Zealand when required for work purposes.\nWhat technical skills / skills are required for this role?\nFacilities, property or workplace operations experience.\nStrong planning and coordination skills.\nSupplier and contractor management experience.\nPractical understanding of building services, including HVAC, electrical, water and automated systems.\nSound written and verbal communication skills.\nFinancial administration capability.\nAccurate record management.\nConfidence using Microsoft Office, facilities systems and related business tools.\nA full, clean and current New Zealand driver licence.\nWhat attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?\nThe successful person will be organised, proactive, calm under pressure and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
