We have an opportunity for an experienced Product Manager -Home LendingValue Chain to join our team.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity which can be based in Wellington or Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.
What are 5 dayto day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Deliver and deisgnthe product vision for BNZ’s home lending origination platform, translating product and bank strategy into clear priorities, outcomes and requirements that bring the future home lending experience to life.
- Work closely with stakeholders and frontline teams to turn customer and banker problems into clear, deliverable product outcomes.
- Prioritise the backlog of enhancementsand process improvements that simplify the home lending experience for bankers and improve adoption of BNZ’s lending origination platform.
- Support delivery governance, release planning, stakeholder engagementand business readiness for upcoming home lending technologyreleases.
- Monitor live platform performance, customer and banker feedback, operational issuesand regulatory obligations to ensure the platformremainssafe, compliantand easy to use.
What projects will you be working on now and into the next year?
You’llbe part of the product team leading the future of home lending at BNZ. Our team is at the front of the decision-making that shapesBNZ’s homelending origination platform(C360)-the core system bankers use to managehome lending applications.This is about more than delivering features; it is about changing the way we do home lending, how we support bankers,and how we serve customers at one of the biggest moments in their lives.Current and upcoming work includesdigital top-ups, refinance journeys, broker and banker origination improvements, document generation, drawdowns, settlementsand adoption uplift. You’llhelp set the direction, make the right product callsand bring to life simpler, fasterand better lending experiences for customers and bankers.

You’llbe joining a small, collaborativeand highly engaged Home Lending Value Chain Product team. Wework closely with delivery, technology, business, frontline and operations teams across BNZ. The environment is fast-paced, supportive and outcome-focused. We care deeply about making home lending simpler for customers and easier for bankers. You’llhelp shape simpler, fasterand more connected lending experiences, and see your decisions make a difference for customers, bankersand BNZ.
What attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?
- Product management, delivery, business analysis, technology deliveryor financial services experience.
- Strong understanding of customers, bankersand operational teams, with the ability to translate real-world pain points into clear product outcomes.
- Experience working in complex change or transformation environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence across product, delivery, technology, risk, legal, operations and frontline teams.
- Good judgement and the ability to balance customer experience, colleague experience, risk, complianceand delivery constraints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex topics simple and easy to understand.
- Comfortable working with data, insights, customer feedbackand operational information to support prioritisation and decision-making.
- High ownership, curiosityand accountability, with a bias toward solving problems and following through.
- Experience in banking, lending, home lending, customer origination platformsor Salesforce-based environments would be advantageousbutis not essential.
- A collaborative, positive and practical approach, with the ability to build trust and work well in a fast-moving team.
