Help build the future of lending at BNZ, delivering modern technology, innovative customer experiences, and lasting impact for New Zealanders.\nThis is a Wellington based fixed-term opportunity through to October 2028.\nMō te Tūranga | About the Role\nWe sat down with the People Leader (who you would report to) and they told us the following about the role:\nWhat are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?\nDrive the integrated product solution delivery plan, tracking progress against delivery commitments.\nLead delivery cadences across the solution teams, ensuring priorities, actions and ownership are clear.\nIdentify and resolve blockers, risks and cross-team dependencies, escalating quickly where intervention or decisions are required.\nCoordinate delivery across architecture, engineering, integration, data, testing and platform teams to maintain alignment across the end-to-end solution.\nProvide clear visibility of delivery status and critical path, including upcoming milestones, decisions required and areas at risk.\nWhat is the team culture and environment like?\nThis team operates in a collaborative and supportive environment where knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous improvement are highly valued. There is a strong focus on quality, innovation, and delivering outcomes in line with established engineering standards.\nWhat projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?\nThe successful candidate will currently be leading challenging, complex technology delivery in a high-pressure environment, coordinating multiple teams and competing priorities to deliver critical outcomes. They will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing significant dependencies and risks, resolving delivery challenges and maintaining momentum against demanding timelines. Having worked on a similar project in a banking environment will be advantageous.\nWhat technical skills are required for this role?\nStrong understanding of end-to-end technology delivery, from solution design and build through integration, testing, release and implementation. Strong integrated planning and dependency management skills across multiple technology teams and platforms. Experience managing delivery across architecture, engineering, integration, data, environments and testing disciplines. Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, including managing delivery across multiple squads or teams. Strong risk, issue, dependency and critical-path management, with the ability to quickly identify and address threats to delivery. Experience using delivery management tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage and maintain delivery visibility.\nWhat attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? Proactive and delivery-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes. Calm and resilient under pressure, able to maintain momentum and sound judgement in a challenging delivery environment. Decisive and pragmatic, comfortable making progress through ambiguity and incomplete information. Strong influencer and collaborator, able to bring multiple teams and stakeholders together around a common delivery outcome. Confident and constructively challenging, prepared to question assumptions, hold people to commitments and escalate when required. Highly organised with strong attention to detail, while maintaining a clear view of the overall delivery outcome and critical path.
