No two days are the same.\nMō te Tūranga | About the Role\nJoin the team building and supporting BNZ’s Customer Identity and Access Management system, which provides customer and third-party authentication. You will lead analysis across complex technology change, connecting customer and business needs with product, engineering, architecture, testing and operational delivery.\nWhat are some of the day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?\nLead discovery with stakeholders, customers and delivery teams to frame problems, define outcomes and evaluate options. \nTranslate goals into clear, testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and business rules. \nShape scope and priorities; support backlog refinement, estimation, release planning and delivery sequencing. \nModel processes, customer journeys, system interactions, data flows and integrations to identify impacts, dependencies and opportunities. \nFacilitate workshops, synthesise perspectives and support evidence-based decisions and alignment. \nLead impact assessments, identify risks early and support mitigation, readiness, testing and implementation. \nMaintain clear, traceable artefacts in Jira and Confluence, while mentoring analysts and strengthening business analysis practices. \nWhat is the team culture and environment like?\nOur culture is collaborative, inclusive, innovative and results driven. We value open communication, diverse perspectives, continuous learning, accountability and wellbeing in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.\nWhat is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?\nYou will help shape secure, intuitive customer identity and access management from discovery through implementation, working closely with product, engineering, architecture, testing and operational teams.\nWhat technical skills are required for this role?\nBusiness analysis and delivery\nExtensive experience across complex technology, digital, process or platform initiatives, from discovery through implementation. \nStrong requirements, scope, backlog and traceability practices, with knowledge of Agile delivery, the software development lifecycle and release management. \nAdvanced process, journey, system-context and data-flow modelling; confidence using evidence to validate assumptions and support decisions. \nTechnology and customer identity\nUnderstanding of APIs, integrations, event-driven architectures, data flows, business rules, authentication, authorisation and customer identity journeys. \nFamiliarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, CIBA, JSON Web Tokens, Ping Identity products or certificate management is advantageous. \nAbility to work across APIs, cloud-hosted and containerised services, microservices, native mobile applications and React-based interfaces.
