This is an important role supporting high-profile regulatory delivery across the lending data space. You will help delivery squads uncover business and data requirements, surface blockers and dependencies, and enable clear decisions so critical regulatory outcomes can be delivered with confidence.\nThis is a full time, 2 year fixed term opportunity based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.\nMō te Tūranga | About the Role\nWe sat down with our Head of Data - Core Banking, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role).\nWhat are some of the day-to-day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?\nYou’ll be a valued member of high-profile regulatory delivery squads across the lending data space where you will be:\nuncovering requirements, blockers, dependencies and decision points.\nanalysing lending data, business rules, controls and reporting requirements to support regulatory delivery outcomes. \ntranslating complex business and data analysis into clear actions that delivery teams can execute against. \nsupporting impact assessment, traceability, reconciliation and readiness activities to give confidence in regulatory data outputs.\nWorking across business, data, technology and delivery teams to align stakeholders, clarify scope and keep critical deliverables moving.\nWhat is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?\nThis is an opportunity to work on high-profile regulatory delivery where the quality, completeness and clarity of data directly supports BNZ’s ability to meet important regulatory obligations. You will have broad enterprise visibility and play a key role in helping squads turn complex requirements into practical delivery outcomes.\nWhat is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?\nThe most challenging part of this role will be navigating complex lending data, regulatory requirements, business rules and cross-team dependencies while bringing clarity to what needs to be delivered. Success will require strong analysis, dependency management, stakeholder alignment, and the ability to identify risks, gaps and decisions early so regulatory delivery can stay on track.\nWhat will success look like for the candidate in this role?\nSuccess will mean you have enabled regulatory delivery squads clarify requirements, resolve blockers, align stakeholders and deliver trusted lending data outcomes that support BNZ’s regulatory obligations. You will be recognised as someone who brings clarity, structure and momentum to complex delivery work while demonstrating our Mātāpono | How We Work.\nWhat skills / technical skills are required for this position?\n3-7 years’ business analysis experience, ideally across digital, process or platform change. \nStrong visual and structured modelling skills, with the ability to communicate complexity simply. \nExperience shaping backlogs and partnering with technology delivery teams. \nExperience using Jira and Confluence to manage user stories, requirements, delivery artefacts and backlogs within an Agile delivery environment. \nWhat attributes will this person display to be successful in this tūranga?\nSuccess in this role means you can turn complex regulatory and lending data problems into clear, actionable analysis that delivery squads can execute against.
