We enable BNZ to partner with confidence with third parties to deliver for our customers. Sound third party governance minimises disruption to business operations and improves customer experience by reducing third party incidents and breaches and helps BNZ to make better informed risk decisions.\nThis is a full time, fixed term/secondment opportunity based in Auckland.\nMō te Tūranga | About the Role\nWe sat down with the Senior Manager - Third Party Governance (Who you’ll report to), and they let us the following about the role:\nWhat are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?\nProvide subject matter expertise across policies, systems, processes and tools associated with the third-party lifecycle, including procurement and third-party risk. \nEmbed third party performance management activities across material contracts, including supporting Contract Owners to understand what is required.\nApprove regulatory impacting third party contracts, ensuring compliance to governance requirements and ensure the BS11 Compendium of outsourced arrangements remains accurate and up to date\nPrepare third party frameworks for emerging regulatory and legislative requirements including the DTA (Deposit Takers Act) and Modern Slavery legislation.\nUse data and insights to monitor effectiveness and provide oversight of third-party risk and procurement processes, policy and standards. \nWhat is the team culture and environment like?\nWe are a supportive and friendly team who work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes. We have a range of backgrounds and experience and enjoy helping each other to achieve goals and supporting each other with learning opportunities.\nWhat is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?\nThis role can make a real impact on improving the maturity of third-party risk management at BNZ.\nWhat is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?\nThis can be a very busy role, and we often have lots of priorities to juggle, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast paced environment and good at managing stakeholder’s expectations.\nWhat attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?\nAt least 5 years’ experience of corporate governance, third party risk management, procurement or legal in a corporate environment. \nPrevious direct involvement in overseeing policies, frameworks and compliance activities in a regulated industry. \nExcellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills. \nExceptional communication skills, with demonstrated experience drafting executive and board level documents. \nReporting and analytical skills including interpreting data from various systems/ sources and providing meaningful insights to senior leaders\nDemonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements specific to third parties and outsourcing. \nTertiary qualification in a business or risk discipline, and/or a Legal degree would be desirable\nNau Mai ki te Pēke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New Zealand\nApplications close Wednesday 21 October at 11:59pm.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join us!
