You will be working alongside our CTO on all aspects of the current product and future product development. You will work directly with the founding team and leverage your experiences and abilities to inform decisions from product, technology, and strategy. You will help us build the foundation of this company: its culture, its processes, and its practices. There are a ton of interesting problems to solve, so come hungry. If your colleagues describe you as curious, driven, kind, and creative you will be a culture fit.\nResponsibilities\nWrite review, and ship code in production that drives meaningful customer and business outcomes.\n\nLeverage Generative AI tools daily to improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of both technical and non-technical work.\n\nTake ownership of the software you build, ensuring it delivers value in production and remains reliable and maintainable throughout its lifecycle.\n\nEvaluate and drive technical decisions with a long-term perspective, balancing speed, quality, security, and scalability.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex production challenges while serving as a trusted technical resource for the broader team.\n\nLearn and adapt quickly to unfamiliar technologies, codebases, and domains, applying first-principles thinking and curiosity to solve complex problems.\n\nCreate technical champions by building demos, prototypes, examples, and technical content that help developers understand and adopt new technologies.\n\nCollaborate closely with engineers, designers, sales executives, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional outcomes in an in-person environment.\n\nCommunicate openly, share the rationale behind important decisions, and actively seek feedback to keep the team aligned and moving forward.\n\nChampion improvements across the enterprise software development lifecycle and advocate for better ways of building, deploying, and operating software.\n\nOperate independently with an optimistic mindset, a high degree of accountability, and a willingness to go the extra mile to overcome obstacles and deliver results.\n\nQualifications\nDirect experience with Python, Terraform, and AWS is required\n\nProficiency in backend frameworks and technologies such as Node.js, NuxtJS, Express.js, or Python\n\nExperience with cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Vercel\n\nStrong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, or Go\n\nHands-on knowledge of RPC technologies and API architectures including REST, gRPC, or GraphQL\n\nExperience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar platforms\n\nExperience with source code versioning tools such as Git or Perforce\n\nKnowledge of microservices architecture and distributed application design\n\nFamiliarity with AI platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, or SageMaker\n\nDemonstrated ability to build and scale enterprise-grade applications with 99%+ service-level availability\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Python, Terraform, and GCP\n\n Compensation: $195,000 - $250,000+ Bonus + Equity\nBlitzy is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
