This role ensures blockchain solutions are secure, scalable, observable, and operationally sound for banking and institutional environments.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):\nBuild and operate cloud infrastructure for blockchain platforms in banking, custody, payments, and digital asset environments\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release management\n\nDeploy and manage infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation\n\nOperate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes\n\nConfigure and manage environments across AWS, Azure, hybrid, and on-premise deployments\n\nImplement security hardening, secrets management, encryption, and access controls\n\nBuild and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch\n\nSupport production deployments, go-live activities, and incident response\n\nCollaborate with Solution Architects to ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and architectural requirements\n\nContribute to reusable infrastructure patterns, automation frameworks, and operational documentation\n\nWhat We Look for In You (Required Qualifications):\n3-6 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure operations roles\n\nHands-on experience building and operating infrastructure in fintech, financial services, or other regulated environments\n\nStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure and/or GCP a plus)\n\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD\n\nStrong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi\n\nSolid scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages\n\nExperience operating Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms\n\nStrong understanding of security, networking, and compliance requirements in regulated environments\n\nSelf-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and geographies, demonstrating high-quality and high-touch customer engagement throughout all phases of delivery\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, delivery teams, and client technical stakeholders\n\nLanguages: English required; Swiss German, German, French or Italian a plus\n\nLocation: Switzerland, with focus on Zurich and Lugano\n\nNice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications):\nExperience operating blockchain infrastructure (Bitcoin nodes, Lightning Network, or similar)\n\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and blockchain-specific operational requirements\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK\n\nKnowledge of service mesh, API gateways, or load-balancing technologies\n\nRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)\n\nInterest in progressing into Senior DevOps Engineer or SRE leadership roles\n\nGenuine interest in Bitcoin, digital assets, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure\n\nStay Safe from Job Scams\n All official Blockstream communication will come from an @blockstream.com email address.
