You will strengthen follow-the-sun operations during APAC hours, coordinate reliable handoffs with Europe, and turn operational incidents into durable automation, runbooks, and reliability improvements.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):\nOwn production reliability during APAC operating hours, including alert triage, incident coordination, mitigation, communication, and cross-region handoffs\n\nAfter onboarding and shadowing, participate in a shared primary/secondary on-call rotation with documented backup and escalation paths\n\nBuild and operate GCP/GKE and hybrid Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform, Atlantis, FluxCD, Helm, and Kustomize\n\nShip reviewed, observable, and reversible production changes through GitLab CI/CD and GitOps workflows\n\nBuild monitoring and alerting with Prometheus/Mimir, Grafana, Alertmanager, and Grafana IRM; improve alert quality, SLOs, runbooks, and post-incident actions\n\nOperate stateful services and recovery mechanisms, including PostgreSQL/CloudNativePG, WAL backups, Redis, Kafka, persistent volumes, and capacity tuning\n\nManage IAM, Workload Identity, secrets, artifact registries, DNS, TLS, ingress, load balancers, and network policies\n\nAutomate repetitive operations using Python, Go, Bash, or similar tools\n\nReview infrastructure changes and collaborate asynchronously with engineers across APAC, Europe, and North America\n\nWhat We Look For In You (Required Qualifications):\nTypically five or more years of production experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations, or equivalent demonstrated experience\n\nStrong Kubernetes and cloud-platform experience; production GCP/GKE experience is preferred\n\nStrong Terraform/IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD fundamentals\n\nSolid Linux, containers, networking, DNS/TLS, IAM, and secrets-management knowledge.\n\nExperience monitoring and responding to incidents involving distributed or stateful services\n\nPractical scripting and automation skills.\n\nClear written and spoken English, with strong documentation and asynchronous handoff habits\n\nAbility to work the published APAC schedule and participate in the defined on-call rotation\n\nNice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications):\nFluxCD, Helm, Kustomize, Atlantis, or GitLab CI\n\nPrometheus, Mimir, Grafana, Grafana IRM, Loki, or Alertmanager\n\nCloudNativePG, Barman/WAL recovery, Redis, Kafka, or GCS\n\nBitcoin, Elements/Liquid, electrs, Lightning, exchange-market-data, or other high-availability financial infrastructure\n\nHybrid/on-premises Kubernetes or security-sensitive infrastructure experience\n\nStay Safe from Job Scams\nAll official Blockstream communication will come from an @blockstream.com email address.
