Technical Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales)

We are seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales), a customer-facing technical expert responsible for helping financial institutions evaluate, design, and adopt Blockstream's enterprise software solutions.

Operating within the Consulting Services organization, the Solutions Engineer partners closely with Enterprise Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support the customer journey from technical discovery and solution architecture through product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and technical validation.

This is not a traditional pre-sales role. You will spend significant time working directly with customers, often onsite, understanding their business, technical, and regulatory requirements, designing enterprise-grade solutions, and acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle. You will help financial institutions understand how Blockstream's products solve complex business challenges while ensuring proposed solutions are scalable, practical, and aligned with customer needs.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

Customer Engagement & Technical Sales

• Partner with Enterprise Sales to support strategic opportunities across financial institutions.

• Lead technical discovery workshops to understand customers' business, operational, regulatory, and technical requirements.

• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, Operations, and Engineering teams.

• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs.

• Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), solution validation activities, and technical evaluations.

• Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales process.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design end-to-end solution architectures leveraging Blockstream's enterprise software products.

• Translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation approaches.

• Define solution assumptions, integration approaches, deployment models, and technical dependencies.

• Collaborate with customers to identify implementation risks and recommend best practices.

Commercial & Deal Support

• Lead or contribute to responses for RFPs, RFIs, technical questionnaires, and security assessments.

• Support commercial discussions by providing technical expertise and solution positioning.

• Help package Blockstream products into repeatable enterprise offerings, demonstrations, and implementation approaches.

• Clearly communicate the value proposition and differentiators of Blockstream's products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Security, Delivery, and Consulting teams.

• Feed customer and market feedback back to Product Management.

• Help improve demos, technical collateral, reference architectures, and solution playbooks.

• Contribute to repeatable implementation methodologies and sales enablement materials.

What We Look for In You (Required Qualifications):

• 5-8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Enterprise Software Pre-Sales.

• Experience supporting enterprise software sales within banking, financial services, fintech, or technology infrastructure environments.

• Strong understanding of enterprise software architecture, APIs, integration patterns, cloud technologies, and modern software deployment models.

• Experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions for complex customer environments.

• Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.

• Experience delivering customer workshops, technical demonstrations, and executive presentations.

• Experience supporting RFPs, RFIs, technical proposals, and solution validation.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Enterprise Sales, Product, Engineering, Consulting, and Delivery teams.

• Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

• Willingness to travel regularly to customer locations across Switzerland.

Languages

• Excellent English skills required. German and/or French strongly preferred. Italian is also considered a strong advantage.

• Experience working with financial institutions, including private banking, wealth management, custody, payments, treasury, or capital markets.

• Background in blockchain, Bitcoin, digital assets, tokenization, or fintech.

• Knowledge of core banking platforms, financial market infrastructure, or enterprise integration technologies.

• Familiarity with Layer-2 technologies and digital asset infrastructure.

• Experience in enterprise software organizations serving regulated industries.

• Track record of feeding customer and market feedback into product strategy.
