This role will report toSenior Service Desk Manager and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, 5 days in office role.\nAs an Audio Video Specialist, you will be responsible for all Unified Communications and Audio/Video Production and other related work at Bloom Energy. The ideal candidate will be an expert in implementing converged/integrated networked Video Conferencing and Telecommunications solutions necessary to meet the requirements of the organization. Establishes user-first communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining video, voice, and data communications network circuits and equipment. An integral part of the role is regular testing and maintenance of all hardware and equipment in Bloom’s Unified Communications ecosystem.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and passion for the user experience. Candidate must maintain a professional attitude, be a creative thinker, have strong problem-solving skills and possess good customer service etiquette. This role requires hands on support for both small and major corporate events (All Hands, Board Meeting, Earnings Call, etc.) \nResponsibilities:\nExpert knowledge of conference room technologies, video conferencing platforms, audio processing, microphones, speakers, cameras, displays, DSPs, control systems, and AV signal flow.\nPrevious experience designing AV solutions for corporate meeting rooms, executive spaces, training rooms, event venues, and multi-site enterprise environments.\nStrong vendor management skills and experience working with AV integrators, manufacturers, contractors, architects, and internal delivery teams.\nAbility to create technical documentation, standards, design packages, test plans, and operational support materials.\nInstall, operate, and maintain audio, video, and telecommunications systems\nCreate user best practices and how to documents\nHands on experience with Zoom Rooms/Phone, Crestron, Avaya, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Poly, or similar platforms\nProvide executive IT support\nGather user requirements and work with IT processes to implement new features\nMonitor and test conferencing systems and peripheral equipment and troubleshoot problems\nCooperate with management to develop staff and improve their skills\nFollow industry’s standards and best practices\nAssist with live web streaming, video conferencing, and video recording\nTroubleshooting A/V equipment when there are technical questions or problems and identifying appropriate solutions. Diagnose and resolve issues during live events, manage live feeds and provide on-site technical assistance\nTroubleshooting prowess under pressure/at a fast pace\nAV digital protocols knowledge/proficiency\nSkill Requirements\nMaintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when interacting with executives and staff.\nAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users\nExperience with live streaming and video conferencing platforms\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting\nProven work experience as an audio, video, and communication technology specialist\nIP Telephony, H.323, SIP\nMust be able to work under pressure\nTeam player with customer service orientation\n7+ years of working experience with Telecommunication equipment\n7+ years of working experience with audio visual design, AV engineering, collaboration technology, workplace technology, or enterprise IT infrastructure\nEducation Requirements\nMust have high level of customer service and professionalism when interacting with executives and staff. \nCertification in AV technology such as CTS or equivalent experience\nHigh School Graduate or GED\nCrestron DMC-D or similar is a nice to have\nAdditional Requirements\nWilling to work early mornings and/or weekends when needed to support events and India IT team\nAble to travel between facilities in Fremont and San Jose\nAbility to lift 25 lbs. unassisted\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
