We believe that, together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future while tackling the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.\nWe are looking for a Facilities Technology Leader to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to theVP, Global Facilities and will be based in San Jose, CA or Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role five days a week.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nLead operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems.\nDevelop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and uptime.\nTroubleshoot system issues and drive timely corrective actions.\nEnsure compliance with all EHS, regulatory, and internal standards.\nOversee inspection and maintenance of Fire Life Safety Systems (FLSS).\nMaintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and performance records.\nManage facilities projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and building modifications.\nCoordinate planning, execution, and commissioning with cross-functional partners.\nManage vendors and contractors, including SLAs, KPIs, and performance oversight.\nSupport vendor sourcing and contract negotiations.\nDrive energy efficiency initiatives and evaluate system optimization opportunities.\nMaintain emergency response plans and ensure rapid recovery with minimal downtime.\nProvide technical leadership, training, and guidance to engineers, technicians, and contractors.\nPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.\nOversee soft services (janitorial, landscaping, waste, reception) and workplace operations.\nManage vendor performance for soft services and support space planning and moves.\nSkills and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or related field preferred.\n10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, technical operations, or critical infrastructure management.\nSemiconductor, industrial, R&D, or high-tech facility experience strongly preferred.\nAbility to accommodate 25% travel.\nRequirements for Success:\nStrong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, chilled water, life safety, mechanical systems, controls).\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.\nStrong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.\nExcellent problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and decision-making abilities.\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
