This role will report to the VP, HR Operations and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, 5 days in office role.\nAbout the job\nReporting to the VP, HR Operations, the HR Operations Senior Manager leads our HR Ops, Processes and Compliance functions. This role is an hands role, creating efficiencies to support scale. As part of a lean team, the role also involves day-to-day operational activities. This is an in-office job, located in our Headquarters in San Jose, CA.\nWe are looking for a seasoned individual to improve and streamline our HR processes, compliance and day to day administrative support. This individual will be actively collaborating with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal and IT. This role will be expected to provide the Ops infrastructure (processes, policies, audit) to enable scaling and efficiency.\nScope of Responsibilities\n\nLead a team of HR Operations professionals, providing training, direction, support and enabling their success.\nOversee global support for all administrative HR tasks.\nProvide project leadership in documenting, maintaining and improving processes and workflows across all HR systems and HR operations.\nBuild and manage our compliance infrastructure, translating employment requirements into practical processes and controls across an increasingly complex, multi-state and international workforce.\nEnsure adherence to SOX, local labor laws, and internal policies. Maintain a strong control environment and continuous process improvement\nDevelop and maintain employee policies and our handbook, balancing compliance requirements with Cognition’s culture and operating philosophy.\nOversees data governance to ensure accurate and protected data both in systems and processes.\nParticipate in the development and roll out of HR analytics and reporting to drive the Workforce Planning and monitor Org Design activities in the collaboration with the VP, HR Operations\nSupport our international growth by participating in the establishment of operations in new countries, including the development of local policies and efficient processes\nCollaborate with the Workday team, acting as a business analyst for new functionality implementation\nUse data and operational insights to identify issues and improve programs, building reporting, controls, and processes that allow the team to operate proactively rather than reactively.\nSkills\n\nA strong understanding of HR policies, processes, and local legal requirements to ensure compliance and operational excellence\n Knowledge of Workday HCM, including advanced Compensation, Benefits and Learning Management System.\nProven experience launching and driving multiple programs implementations requiring change management and cross functional collaboration.\nAbility to demonstrate at the same time attention to details, strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking, all in the pursuit of efficiency\n Passion for fixing issues and building solutions.\nWillingness to join the team in day-to-day administrative tasks\nAbility to navigate a changing landscape and to handle changing priorities.\nExperience leading and developing a team, including defining priorities and allocating resources.
