We believe that, together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future while tackling the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.\nWe are looking for a Materials Supervisor to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report toManufacturing Manager and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role working Weekend shift hours (Friday-Sunday, 6AM-6PM).\nRole and Responsibilities:\nAssume ownership of all inventory counts for both new materials in multiple locations.\nEnsure inventory accuracy within the ERP system and identify root causes for errors.\nDevelop strategy to streamline movement of materials internally and maximize visibility of material risks.\nEnsure adequate inventory levels to minimize outages emphasizing materials.\nActively educate cross-functional staff on inventory management best practices and enforce.\nMonitor and effectively maintain inventory management reports for forecasting and financial planning.\nImplement and maintain proper item location discipline (5S).\nOversee introduction of new, used, and non-standard materials into production environment.\nMonitor shrinkage and recommend ways to reduce lost and/or damaged materials.\nIdentify excess and obsolete inventory and determine how to best remove it with Planning.\nOptimize warehouse layouts to improve material flow for kitting and shipping operations.\nSkills and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.\n3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, along with 2+ years of leadership experience.\nGeneral understanding of inventory principles and experience with manufacturing programs.\nUnderstand the flow of goods from raw material to finished goods.\nComputer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs.\nExperience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).\nStrong communication skills within diverse work group.\nStrong analytical skills with ability to identify and investigate inaccurate inventory counts.\nDetail oriented, organized person who is adamant about accuracy and process adherence.\nConfidence to uphold best practices within multiple warehouse locations.\nFocus on needs of others, which include cooperation with team members, helpfulness, responsiveness and service orientation.\nAbility to train other members of the staff to keep inventory accurate.\nUnderstanding the flow of material into the warehouse, onto the production floor and out to testing and final shipment (logistics oriented).\nDependability, which includes reliability and conscientiousness.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to changes quickly.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.\nOccasionally lift/carry up to 25-50 lbs.\nUse hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.\nVisual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.\nHearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.\nAbility to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
