This role will report toSr. Manager, Material Planning & Purchasing and is based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nManage daily purchasing activities for raw materials to support production schedules\nReview and validate MRP requirements to ensure demand accuracy and appropriate purchase order placement\nAnalyze material demand, supply signals, and inventory levels to identify potential shortages and supply risks\nDevelop and execute mitigation plans for material shortages in collaboration with commodity managers and material planning teams\nExpedite supplier deliveries and follow up on open orders to prevent production disruptions\nWork closely with Material Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability and supply continuity\nMaintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory\nCommunicate with suppliers regarding lead times, delivery schedules, shortages, and recovery plans\nSupport supplier performance improvement and escalation management when supply issues arise\nMaintain accurate purchasing data and updates within ERP/MRP systems\nSupport product transitions, supplier changes, and phase-in/phase-out planning\nSkills and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred\n2+ years of buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nStrong understanding of MRP systems, procurement processes, and supply planning\nAbility to analyze demand signals, identify supply gaps, and drive corrective actions\nExperience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications\nExperience reading and understanding manufacturing BOMs (Preferred)\nKnowledge of production planning and inventory control processes (Preferred)\nAPICS/CPIM certification is a plus\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
