This role will report to theProcess Engineering Manager and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nOversee the technicians, and other resources in achieving the production schedule while improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency\nSupervise and motivate the ink manufacturing team to create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement\nEnsure technicians follow approved procedures and support procedures updates\nDevelop and implement production scalability, workflow plans\nImplement new assembly process and operations\nInitiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues in order to meet the current and future needs of the company\nAchieve quality and productivity metrics\nManage team members work schedule, time off, and department allocation\nDevelop employee versatility plans\nLead Performance Management Process and provide recommendations for compensation changes\nManage any disciplinary actions required\nInitiate, coordinate, and manage inventory cost control programs\nPrepare and maintain production reports\nUtilize data to pin-point root cause of defects and production challenges\nEnforce all safety policies to promote a safe and inclusive work group\nDevelop and implement 5S and housekeeping programs\nAchieve technical training and versatility required to obtain domain expertise\nFlexibility to work on any of the shifts, or in any area of the plant, based on production needs\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nSkills and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred\n3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operations environment\nExperience working with production systems; scale up manufacturing, volume production, linear production, using continuous improvement/TPS/Lean manufacturing methods\nProficient with interviewing, training, developing, and handling disciplinary matters\nComputer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs\nStrong data analysis and data driven decision making skills\nResourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to 1st level floor issues with regards to equipment, process, or manpower\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills and tact needed to interact with all levels in the plant\nOrganized with good planning and time management skills\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours per shift\nOccasionally lift/carry up to 25-50 lbs\nUse hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift\nVisual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials\nHearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff\nAbility to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
