This role will report to thePurchasing Manager and wil be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.\nReporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Procurement Analyst will complete procurement activities in support of Bloom Energy Manufacturing. This position will serve as a procurement agent in the acquisition of materials and services required to assure on-time deliveries for the production line. The primary role is to analyze procurement data, identity areas for improvement, drive improvements, deliver products and services required in a timely manner, at established quality specifications. The position will collaborate with manufacturing, planning, commodity management, logistics, quality and finance personnel in the completion of duties.\nWe are looking for an experienced, confident professional with high energy, excellent communication and analytical skills and strong personal drive to succeed.\nResponsibilities:\nProcures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability of source and urgency requirements\nReviews Oracle MRP on a regular basis; adjusts part and supplier settings to match the dynamic demand and supply requirements. Executes pull-ins, push outs, cancellations, expedites and new orders at minimal cost as required.\nMaterial excess & shortage tracking and reporting. Support or lead regular meetings with all buyers to make sure PO management is up to date.\nOversee overall procurement process, work with buyers to standardize processes.\nCollect and analyze procurement data (e.g.: PO dates accuracy, On time Shipment data, etc..), suggest improvement areas.\nConduct routine cost-benefit analysis and contribute to continual process improvement\nImplements and follows purchasing business processes and work instructions. Drives transaction discipline. Adheres to purchasing policies and company business standards of conduct.\nSelects suppliers from the Approved Vendor List, issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates price and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner\nWorks with suppliers to utilize iSupplier to access their purchasing information, acknowledge requests/orders, provide updated order status and issue invoices\nCoordinates with Supplier Commodity Management to provide suppliers with forecasts\nAssists in evaluating supplier performance. May participate in supplier business meetings and audits to maintain strong working relationships.\nInterfaces with Accounting and Receiving to resolve invoice and receiving problems\nReviews and ensures actions per disposition of Engineering Change Notices and part releases\nParticipates in special projects and strategic initiatives, as requested\nSkills and Experience:\nRequires a general understanding of supply chain management, competitive analysis, cost analysis, cost avoidance and reduction, negotiation, commodity knowledge, information systems / commerce, and procure-to-pay\nB.S./B.A. Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred or equal equivalent work experience\nMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain\nBusiness experience in high technology low volume / high mix product industries preferred\nStrong knowledge of Purchasing best practices\nExcellent interpersonal, written/oral communication skills and teamwork skills\nStrong foundation in Excel with pivot tables, lookups, formula writing and dashboards\nExperience creating & presenting with MS PowerPoint is required; Visio process flow - Preferred\nBilingual English / Mandarin speaking for working with Asia supply chain is highly desired\nExperience using Oracle ERP, Business Analytics, and Agile PLM software - preferred\nAPICS CSSP or CPIM or ISM CPSM certification - preferred\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
