This role will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nRead and interpret Work Instruction’s to determine specific welding requirements\nWeld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions\nPosition and clamps parts together in fixtures\nAccurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding\nOperate welding equipment according to operating manual\nComplete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner\nOperate hoist and power lift stand\nLoad and unload jigs\nPerform leak testing checks on finished welding products\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product\nFabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator\nMaintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep\nNotify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils, welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc.) in order to maintain inventories\nCreate assembly and fabrication fixtures\nAddress and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies\nPerform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSkills and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required.\n1 year required experience in TIG Welding preferred\n2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required\nRequired experience in following required work instructions\nPreferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution\nMust have mechanical skills and able to use basic shop tools and equipment\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.\nMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.\nMust have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.\nMust have excellent hand-eye coordination.\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nCould be required to wear a respirator and pass a Fit test.\nBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
