You’ll write daily stories to longer-term enterprise diving into agency and regulatory changes and what they mean for companies, build sources across government and industry, and collaborate with reporters across the newsroom to land scoops.The right candidate has experience covering federal agencies or policy, a track record of developing sources and breaking news, and a desire to dig into regulatory issues.\nWhat you will do:\nDemonstrated ability to report and write news stories and features with minimal editing under deadline.\n\nWorking knowledge of journalism principles and techniques.\n\nDemonstrated ability to develop and cover a beat, including developing sources, developing story ideas, and conducting interviews.\n\nKnowledge of federal and state legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes.\n\nAbility to attend outside meetings, hearings, news events, etc., and to report on them clearly and accurately for deadline.\n\nProficiency in MS Office.\n\nAbility to use Bloomberg Industry Group publishing tools and other technology effectively with Bloomberg Industry Group training.\n\nExcellent proofreading skills.\n\nYou need to have:\nBachelor’s degree with coursework in English or journalism preferred.\n\n3 - 5 years’ experience in journalism, including at least one year reporting on subject areas covered by assigned publications.\n\nCompensation Range:\n$70,000.00-$88,608.00Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process.
