This includes being the voice of the client in strengthening Bloomberg’s coverage of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and other publicly offered investment vehicles; expanding transparency into their holdings and exposures; improving the taxonomy and classification of fund data; and enabling users to connect funds, share classes, managers, securities, benchmarks, flows, fees, risk, and performance information in way that helps facilitate answers to client questions in an agentic world.\nWe are seeking a Funds Product Manager to work on this initiative. You will help define and execute the product strategy for Bloomberg’s public funds.\nWe’ll trust you to:\nDefine and execute the product strategy for Bloomberg’s public funds \nIdentify and prioritize the most critical data gaps across funds, share classes, managers, holdings, benchmarks, fees, flows\nHelp bring to market initiatives around fund taxonomy, identifiers, entity linkage, classifications, and search and discoverability so users can more easily find, compare, and analyze relevant funds and exposures\nPartner with Engineering and Data teams on scalable data models, and APIs\nBuild and maintain a clear roadmap with phased MVPs that balance client impact, strategic fit, time to market, data availability, and technical complexity\nEnsure funds is usable across Bloomberg workflows, including fund research, screening, due diligence, portfolio construction, benchmarking, performance attribution, risk analytics, and distribution\nCollaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and Operations to deliver solutions that support existing Bloomberg clients and attract new asset management, asset owner, and fund distribution users\nDefine and monitor success metrics tied to data coverage, freshness, accuracy, linkage quality, discoverability, adoption, workflow engagement, and business impact\nYou’ll need to have:\n7+ years of product management or relevant experience in public funds, asset management, financial data, or investment workflow products\nStrong knowledge of asset owner and fund investor workflows, including screening, fund selection, benchmarking, due diligence, portfolio construction, monitoring, and manager evaluation, as well as their relationships with asset managers, consultants, distributors, and other market participants\nUnderstanding of mutual fund and ETF workflows, including research, comparison, portfolio construction, exposure analysis, performance evaluation, risk analysis, and ongoing monitoring\nExperience working with complex datasets and the challenges of sourcing, mastering, normalizing, and linking data across funds, share classes, managers, securities, benchmarks, holdings, and corporate entities\nFamiliarity with fund structures, domiciles, regulatory classifications, share-class attributes, fees, distributions, holdings, assets under management, flows, performance metrics, and risk concepts\nExperience building or managing data products, platforms, screening tools, or APIs used by investment professionals, wealth managers, distributors, or enterprise clients\nAbility to translate ambiguous user problems into clear product requirements, phased roadmaps, and measurable outcomes\nStrong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills\nWe’d love to see:\nExperience building fund intelligence, holdings, flows, performance, benchmarking, risk, or portfolio analytics products\nKnowledge of taxonomy design, fund classification, entity resolution, metadata management, or search and discoverability in financial data products\nFamiliarity with regulatory and industry data sources, such as fund filings, prospectuses, factsheets, holdings disclosures, and standardized fund identifiers\nExperience supporting workflows that span funds, individual securities, model portfolios, and separately managed accounts\nUnderstanding of the public funds data, index, analytics, and software vendor landscape\nFamiliarity with fund distribution, product governance, suitability, and regulatory reporting workflows\nExperience evaluating build, buy, contribute, and partner decisions for strategic data capabilities\nSalary Range = 140,000 - 295,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus\nThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
