Senior SAP ABAP Software Engineer - Pune

Our team forms the backbone of Bloomberg’s internal business operations. We enable the firm to sell its products, deliver best-in-class customer service, and operate with efficiency, transparency, and integrity by leveraging SAP’s Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay capabilities.
As a Senior Engineer at Bloomberg, you will own the technical product and act as a strategic partner to the business, advising process improvements. Working closely with a global engineering team across varying experience levels, as well as end users, you will design and deliver solutions that drive operational excellence and support Bloomberg’s continued growth. These solutions will integrate with other products using well-defined architectural patterns to enable seamless workflows across domains.
You will be adept at decomposing complex problems into incremental, deliverable components and building scalable solutions utilizing APIs, message queues, and event streaming systems. This role offers a hybrid work model, blending remote flexibility with in-office collaboration,and provides opportunities to expand your skill set in an open, collaborative environment alongside colleagues with deep expertise, including in SAP technologies.
At Bloomberg, your success will be driven by strong technical acumen, proactive problem-solving, rapid learning, and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad set of stakeholders.
You'll need to have:
* At least 4+ years of experience in ABAP development, with a solid understanding of SAP technical architecture and strong troubleshooting skills
* Hands-on experience developing solutions using object-oriented programming principles
* Expertise in core software development practices (e.g., transaction processing, automated testing, and database design)
