We play a critical role in Bloomberg’s data security and risk management initiatives - protecting information across every layer of the company’s technical stack.\nOur team builds and maintains enterprise-grade applications and services that power privilege management workflows and policy enforcement across Bloomberg. The entitlement checking infrastructure we own is among the most heavily used at the company, underpinning Bloomberg Terminal functions and internal enterprise platforms.\nWe develop scalable systems and tooling that provide:\nEnterprise-wide entitlement enforcement and access governance\nInfrastructure for policy enforcement and auditability\nAutomated workflows for secure access management\nInternal applications and tooling integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal\nHighly available entitlement infrastructure supporting critical Bloomberg workflows\nOur work requires deep technical expertise and close collaboration across engineering, infrastructure, and risk stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable access systems. In a rapidly evolving security landscape, we build future-proof solutions that help protect Bloomberg’s data and services at global scale.\n\nWe'll trust you to:\nIn this role, you will work closely with our business partners to identify critical problems and architect the solutions that can effectively protect sensitive data while reducing the need for human intervention. The software solutions that you create will directly affect the daily work of our internal users.\n\nWe'll expect you to be:\n· The owner of the product - you will work closely with the business to build effective and user-friendly products\n· A solid team player - you will work within the team and outside the team in a highly, collaborative environment\n· Innovative - you need to think outside of the box when coming up with technical solutions that deliver business value\n· Passionate - you're passionate about our diverse set of users and products\n· Proactive - you'll contribute ideas on everything from UI, product, tech stack and our development flow\n\nYou'll need to have:\n· 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and releasing high-quality software in C++, Java, C#, and/or Python\n· A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience\n\nWe'd love to see:\n· Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript\n· Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills\n· Professional experience working in a Linux environment\n· Collaborate effectively with multiple teams and product stakeholders to deliver products\n· Microservices / Distributed architecture / complex workflows experience.\n· Prior work with middleware technology (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)\n· Experience with caching technology (e.g. Redis, memCached)\n· Database schema design, performance optimization skills and query tuning\n· Familiar with unit testing, CI/CD and Dev-Ops\nSalary Range = 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus\nThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
