We like to experiment with new ideas, collaborate across disciplines and learn from each other as we shape how the team works.\nBecause the team is still growing, it's a great time to join-many of us are learning the space together, and you'll have an opportunity to help influence our engineering practices and culture from the start.\nWe also encourage participation in Bloomberg's broader employee communities and initiatives and value teammates who contribute beyond their immediate project work.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nYou'll become a trusted engineer who can take on a complex problem and drive it toward a successful outcome with increasing independence.\nYou'll deliver high-quality software, contribute to the modernization of Bloomberg's marketing technology ecosystem and help establish engineering practices that make the entire team more effective.\nOver time, your impact will extend beyond your individual contributions: you'll improve the systems around you, make your teammates more effective, identify opportunities before they become explicit requirements and use modern engineering and AI tooling to continually increase the speed and quality with which the team delivers digital experiences.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, test and operate modern web applications and digital experiencessupporting Bloomberg's marketing ecosystem.\n\nBuild and evolve our web publishing platform on Optimizely, helping shape content models and data structures while developing reusable components, templates, integrations, publishing capabilities and supporting services.\n\nBuild new digital experiences from the ground up, working with Product, Marketing, Design and other engineering teams from requirements through production.\n\nTake end-to-end ownershipof engineering work, including understanding requirements, evaluating technical approaches, implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing support.\n\nTranslate evolving business requirements into clear technical solutions and communicate trade-offs, risks and dependencies.\n\nDevelop solutions with quality, maintainability, performance, accessibility, security and SEOin mind.\n\nBuild automated tests and contribute to engineering practices that allow the team to release software confidently and frequently.\n\nContribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews and engineering standards across the team.\n\nExperiment with and adopt AI-assisted development tools and workflowsto accelerate development, improve quality and increase individual and team productivity.\n\nYou'll Need to Have\nAt least 5 years of professional software engineering experiencebuilding and maintaining production web applications or digital platforms.\n\nExperience working with CMS platforms or content-driven websites.\n\nComfort with enterprise, headless or composable CMS platforms is particularly valuable.\n\nFamiliarity with automated testing, source control, CI/CD and modern software development workflows.\n\nUnderstanding of modern web technologies, APIs and frontend/backend application architectures.\n\nWe'd Love to See\nExperience developing on the Optimizely platform, including building or extending CMS-driven websites, components or integrations.\n\nExperience building web applications using .NET and its broader ecosystem.\n\nExperience building websites or digital experiences for marketing organizations, digital agencies, media companies or other organizations operating large public-facing web ecosystems.\n\nExperience with CMS migrations, website re-platforming or other large-scale modernization efforts.\n\nFamiliarity with technical SEO, including site architecture, rendering, structured data, metadata and web performance.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.\n\nExperience with CDNs, caching, content delivery and performance optimization.\n\nFamiliarity with headless CMS architectures, content APIs, design systems and modern frontend frameworks.\n\nExperience with analytics, experimentation, personalization or marketing technology platforms.\n\nSalary Range = 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus\nThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
