As a team, we are responsible for sourcing proprietary portfolio holdings information, normalizing it and making it available within the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise products.\nWe source this information through establishing and maintaining strong relationships with fund houses globally, and other content partners in the funds industry. Within the Portfolios Account Management Team, we help our clients make quicker and more informed decisions by empowering them with the right tools to analyze portfolios and provide them with visibility over the underlying investment of funds.\nWhat’s the role?\nBloomberg’s Portfolios Account Management Team is looking for a Technical Account Manager to join its growing team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with fund houses, engaging with them regularly, and sourcing their portfolio holdings. Your focus will be on EMEA, where you will be responsible for a list of accounts, covering all fund types from Mutual Funds to ETPs.\nYou will engage with fund houses, regulators and various other parties to ensure high visibility over their portfolio holdings. You will also work closely with our Sales, Product, and Engineering departments to support the development of new/enhanced holdings-based terminal functionality, assess the different quality dimensions of the product, and make Bloomberg the platform of choice for data dissemination.\nWe'll trust you to:\nEstablish and manage relationships with major fund houses to work closely with them in disclosing their proprietary portfolio holdings\nAcquire, update & maintain high-quality holdings data\nWork with other data and core business groups, such as Product, Sales, News and Engineering to help develop and improve the holdings product and portfolios functionality across the terminal\nCome up with innovative ideas and project proposals on Portfolio Holdings functionality\nCreate and lead on roundtables and seminars around the themes of Funds and Portfolio Holdings Analytics to engage with your accounts in their respective markets\nParticipate actively in new projects that drive departmental initiatives and goals\nAttend industry events and conferences around Funds and Holdings\nYou'll need to have:\nA bachelor's degree or higher in relevant data technology or financial field, or equivalent professional work experience\nMinimum of 2+ years of experience* working as a data analyst or in the asset management and/or finance industry\nStrong understanding of the Funds Market and the Buy Side\nExcellent written communication and presentation skills\nAbility to build strong relationships\nAbility to think critically in improving and developing products\nStrong organization skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously\nA curiosity about data management and the asset management industry\n*Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.\nWe'd love to see:\nExperience with the Funds Market\nProficiency in additional languages (Spanish, Italian, French or German)\nUnderstanding of fund investment strategies and an understanding of different fund types\nChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or working towards it\nGood knowledge of Python or a desire to learn\nDoes this sound like you?\nApply if you think we're a good match.
