We are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between commercial negotiations, data analysis, supplier conversations, warehouse operations and urgent problem-solving.\nWhat You Will Own\n1. Sourcing & Procurement\nLead sourcing and purchasing activities for flowers, plants, packaging, gifting materials and other direct materials.\nDevelop and expand our local and international supplier network.\nIdentify, evaluate, negotiate and onboard suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, lead time and scalability.\nBuild alternative and back-up sources for critical materials to reduce supply risk.\nNegotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times and commercial terms.\nContinuously identify opportunities to improve material costs without compromising product quality or customer experience.\nMaintain proper purchasing controls, supplier records, quotations and sourcing documentation.\n2. International Supply Chain & Cross-Border Logistics\nManage the end-to-end movement of goods from overseas suppliers to our operations in Malaysia.\nCoordinate suppliers, consolidation partners, freight forwarders, customs agents and local logistics providers.\nDetermine the most commercially effective shipping method across air, land and sea freight, balancing cost, urgency, lead time and inventory requirements.\nUnderstand and monitor total landed cost including freight, duties, handling and related import costs.\nTroubleshoot shipment delays, customs issues, documentation discrepancies and other cross-border operational problems.\nTravel overseas regularly for supplier visits, sourcing activities, negotiations and supply-chain development.\n3. Supply Planning & Distribution\nTranslate sales demand, seasonal campaigns and business plans into purchasing and replenishment requirements.\nEnsure sufficient stock availability while avoiding unnecessary overstock and wastage.\nPlan the distribution of inventory between our central warehouse, fulfilment hubs and retail locations across Malaysia.\nEstablish appropriate stock levels, reorder points and replenishment cycles for key inventory categories.\nWork closely with Product, Retail, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to anticipate upcoming demand.\nStrengthen planning for peak seasons, campaigns and new product launches.\n4. Inventory & Warehouse Management\nOwn inventory accuracy and establish strong controls between physical inventory and system records.\nLead regular stock counts and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.\nEstablish clear warehouse processes covering receiving, inspection, storage, picking, issuing, transfers and stock adjustments.\nMaintain high standards of warehouse organisation, cleanliness, safety and hygiene.\nEnsure appropriate storage conditions for flowers and other temperature-sensitive or perishable materials.\nMonitor inventory ageing, wastage, shrinkage and obsolete stock.\nContinuously improve warehouse layout and processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.\n5. Cost & Performance Management\nTake ownership of key supply-chain cost drivers including material cost, freight, packaging, inventory loss and wastage.\nAnalyse purchasing and logistics data to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities.\nDevelop dashboards and regular reporting for key supply-chain KPIs.\nTrack supplier performance across cost, quality, lead time, fulfilment and reliability.\nMake shipping, purchasing and inventory decisions based on data and total business impact rather than purchase price alone.\nWork closely with Finance to ensure supply-chain costs are accurately captured and understood.\n6. Systems & Process Improvement\nDrive greater discipline, visibility and automation across procurement, inventory and warehouse operations.\nPlay a key role in the implementation and continuous improvement of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) together with the Technology team.\nEnsure purchasing, inventory movements and warehouse activities are accurately reflected in our ERP and related systems.\nDevelop SOPs and controls that allow the supply-chain operation to scale effectively.\nContinuously identify bottlenecks, root causes and opportunities for process improvement.\n7. Team Leadership\nLead, coach and develop a supply-chain team.\nEstablish clear responsibilities, KPIs and accountability within the team.\nBuild a team culture that values accuracy, urgency, ownership and continuous improvement.\nBe willing to step into operational issues personally when required rather than only delegating problems.\nCollaborate effectively across departments to resolve issues quickly and protect business continuity.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nYou will be successful in this role when:\nMaterial and logistics costs are consistently well-managed and improving.\nBloomthis has strong, reliable and diversified supplier relationships.\nCritical materials have dependable alternative suppliers and reduced supply risk.\nInventory records closely reflect actual physical stock.\nStock is available where it is needed without excessive inventory or unnecessary wastage.\nThe warehouse is organised, clean, disciplined and ready for scale.\nPerishable materials are stored and handled correctly to protect quality.\nManagement has clear visibility of supply-chain costs and performance.\nSupply disruptions are identified early and resolved with urgency.\nSystems and processes increasingly replace manual work and individual dependency.\nRequirements\nAt least 5-8 years of relevant experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, logistics or inventory management, with experience managing a team.\nStrong experience in international sourcing and dealing directly with overseas suppliers is highly preferred.\nAble and willing to undertake frequent overseas business travel.\nStrong Mandarin/Chinese proficiency is required for supplier communication and negotiations. Good command of English is also required.\nStrong understanding of procurement, international freight, import/export processes, inventory planning and warehouse operations.\nExperience managing multiple suppliers, SKUs and inventory locations.\nStrong commercial and negotiation skills with an understanding of landed cost and margin impact.\nComfortable working with numbers and analysing purchasing, inventory and logistics data.\nExperience with ERP, inventory systems or Warehouse Management Systems.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly when operational issues arise.\nHighly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.\nAble to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment.\nStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.\nDegree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations or a related discipline is preferred.\nThe Person We Are Looking For\nYou are likely to thrive in this role if you:\nNaturally ask, “Can we source this better?”\nNegotiate hard but build long-term supplier relationships.\nUnderstand that the cheapest purchase price is not necessarily the lowest total cost.\nEnjoy going into the warehouse and understanding what is actually happening on the ground.\nAre comfortable working with both spreadsheets and suppliers.\nNotice inventory discrepancies and want to know why they happened.\nAnticipate supply problems before they become emergencies.\nStay calm and resourceful when shipments are delayed or supply plans suddenly change.\nTake ownership of problems until they are resolved.\nSupply chain is at the heart of Bloomthis' ability to deliver beautiful products reliably to our customers.
