Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.\nPosition Purpose:TheSenior Technicianwill be responsible for the assembly of electrical/mechanical components for space flight use.\nTitle: Senior Technician\nPosition Type: Full Time\nPay Range: $34.00 - $42.00/hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\nLocation: Boulder, CO\nBenefits:\n100% company paid health, dental and vision benefits for you and your dependents effective the first of the month following hire date\nLife insurance\n401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)\nGenerous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave\nJob Responsibilities:\nRead, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical/mechanical assemblies.\nCollaborate and aide in the development of work instructions with the engineering team.\nIncrease efficiency of builds by understands the engineering intent of the final product and make recommendations on the engineering to meet the intent more efficiently.\nBe a go to resource to trouble shoot non-conforming issues with the intent to find a path forward with the greatest efficiency.\nTake ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions, non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order.\nMentor junior technicians.\nAssist in trainings for team development.\nBe willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications/Education:\n7 years related experience. Working in an aerospace production environment is desired.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nMust have experience performing precision electrical/mechanical assembly.\nAbility to read and work to engineering documentation.\nFamiliarity with tools and techniques used for precision manufacturing and assembly.\nExperience using metrology tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Multi-meters, etc.).\nApplied knowledge of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5).\nDemonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior technicians.\nExperience using Solidworks and/or Autodesk Fusion 360.\nExcellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts.\nPossess strong problem solving and communication abilities.\nHigh standard of workmanship is a must.\nRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
