Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.\nPosition Purpose: TheTechnician I will be responsible for the precise mechanical components for space flight.\nTitle:Technician I\nPosition Type: Full Time\nPay Range: $22.00 - 30.00/hour\n(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\nOn-site position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).\nBenefits:\nEmployer sponsored health, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following hire date\nLife insurance\n401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)\nGenerous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave\nJob Responsibilities:\nHandle, mix and freeze epoxies, staking compounds and solvents \nAbility to interpret and work to engineering drawings \nAbility to use magnification aids (microscopes, eye loupes, etc.) \nWork on small precision assemblies, work with small tools underneath a microscope, handle delicate parts \nIdentify non-conforming parts or workmanship \nMaintain lab cleanliness, inventory materials and order as required \nCollect and record process data, maintain Assembly instructions \nMonitor work area to ensure compliance with standards and specifications \nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships within the Production Department \nWork with engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical issues \nCross train in multiple areas of specialty \nProvide input for continuous process improvement, develop more refined ways of assembling parts and products \nPerform tasks with a high level of integrity \nMaintain a regular and predictable work schedule\nOther responsibilities as assigned\nRequired Qualifications/Education:\nExcellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts. \nAbility to acquire all required certifications for production support. \nPossess strong problem solving and communication abilities. \nFamiliarity with small tools used for handheld assembly. \nHigh standard workmanship is a must \nHigh School diploma or equivalent \n0 - 2 years’ experience working in an aerospace production environment is desired \nRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education\nWorking Conditions:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
