Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.\nPosition Purpose:The Technician IIwill be responsible for the precise electrical/mechanical components for space flight.\nTitle: Technician II\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nPay Range: $27.00 - $34.00/hour (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\nLocation: Boulder, CO\nBenefits:\nEmployer sponsored health, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following hire date\nLife insurance\n401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)\nGenerous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave\nJob Responsibilities:\nRead, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical/mechanical assemblies.\nVerify built assemblies are meeting the engineering intent from an electrical/mechanical perspective.\nIdentify non-conforming issues during assembly and recommend solutions to the engineering team to overcome issues.\nTake ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions, non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order.\nBe willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty.\nPerform tasks with a high level of integrity.\nMaintain a regular and predictable work schedule.\nProvide input for continuous process improvement, develop more refined ways of assembling parts and products.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications/Education:\n2+ years’ related experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nExperience performing precision electrical/mechanical assembly\nAbility to read and work to engineering documentation\nFamiliarity with tools and techniques used for precision manufacturing and assembly\nExperience using metrology tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Multi-meters, etc.)\nApplied knowledge of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5)\nExcellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts\nPossess strong problem solving and communication abilities\nHigh standard of workmanship is a must\nRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education\nWorking Conditions:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
