The Lead Engineer is responsible for meeting project schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements. This role drives proficiency within teams, provides resolution to technical issues, assures best practices are followed, and assists management in meeting strategic initiatives while contributing to smooth business operations.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nCoordinates technical tasks and ensures teams are working efficiently; oversees the development/support of specific IT areas and systems, and timely delivery of projects. (25%)\nContributes to defining new business requirements; identifies and communicates risks to the business; investigates and proposes new tools and frameworks to deliver quality products faster. (10%)\nActs as a liaison between project management, technical teams, and IT leadership; assures best practices are defined and followed; drives consistency across applications and projects wherever possible. (5%)\nManages all aspects of coding for the team branching, code review, ensures code reusability and maintainability with constant refactoring, collaboration with Enterprise Architecture team on standards and approaches. Ultimately accountable for the quality of the code for the project. (10%)\nCoding project deliverables (25%)\nMentors developers and helps resolve technical roadblocks; conducts collaborative code reviews and coordinates the deployment and implementation of software solutions; recognizes organizational/team challenges and addresses them with management. (20%)\nAvailable for production application deployment and troubleshooting hours and/or on an on-call basis. (5%)\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\n\nThis position does not have formal supervisory responsibility; however, it has overall leadership responsibility for the work of team members in the context of technical leadership.\n\nDecision-making Responsibilities:\n\nThis position requires independent decision-making and recommendations within the context of assigned projects, stakeholders, and management teams.\n\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience\n8+ years software development experience including creating business applications with relational and non-relational database systems, within a fast-paced software development environment.\n4+ years of demonstrated experience in a technical lead role.\n4+ years of mobile application development; Android required\nAdvanced knowledge of IT software development methodologies and processes in an agile environment (Scrum).\n2+ years experience in .NET\nFull-stack development experience using C#, Xamarin/Maui, and React Native\nExperience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle)\nExperience creating and consuming distributed data services (REST APIs, messaging buses) and SOA design patterns.\nExperience gathering, analyzing, and documenting feature requirements.\nExperience with multithreaded application design\nExperience working under multiple operating systems like Windows, UNIX (Sun Solaris and Linux), and UNIX shell scripting.\nExperience with asynchronous messaging frameworks for application integration, Google Firebase preferred.\nExperience in production support activities by monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.\nExperience in source control management using Git.\nEffective independent, team player, and self-starter with high adaptability to modern technologies.\n\nAdditional desirable skills and experience include:\nTransportation and logistics industry experience (desirable).\nStrong proficiency in at least one of the following roles: business analyst, project manager, and data analyst.\n\nJOB RELATED COMPETENCIES: Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills -\nFocus on data-driven analysis for solutioning and problem solving.\nEncourages creative problem solving and lateral thinking to foster innovative solutions.\nIdentifies opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources;
