The role will primarily focus on non-SAP data ingestion using Fivetran, with strong exposure to Oracle and other relational databases, APIs, SFTP/file-based integrations, and cloud-based data sources.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Design, develop, configure, and support enterprise-grade data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran.\n\n- Build and manage Fivetran connectors across heterogeneous source systems, including Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SaaS applications, and on-premises databases.\n\n- Configure and manage initial/full loads, incremental loads, and Change Data Capture (CDC) ingestion patterns.\n\n- Implement and troubleshoot Oracle-based CDC and incremental replication using Fivetran.\n\n- Configure secure connectivity between Fivetran and enterprise on-premises and cloud-based source systems.\n\n- Design ingestion solutions considering scalability, throughput, latency, reliability, security, source-system impact, and cost.\n\n- Monitor ingestion pipelines and proactively identify and resolve failures, data quality issues, and connectivity problems.\n\n- Troubleshoot connector failures, replication issues, schema changes, and source-system dependencies.\n\n- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Application, Infrastructure, and business teams to define appropriate ingestion strategies.\n\n- Support data ingestion from APIs, SFTP/file-based sources, SaaS platforms, and relational databases.\n\n- Ensure ingestion solutions follow enterprise data governance, security, and operational standards.\n\n- Document ingestion architecture, connector configurations, dependencies, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.\n\n- Contribute to continuous improvement of ingestion frameworks, monitoring, reliability, and operational processes.\n\nRequirements : \n\n- 6 - 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Ingestion, or related roles.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Fivetran, particularly for enterprise-scale non-SAP data ingestion.\n\n- Proven experience building and supporting data ingestion solutions across Oracle and other relational databases.\n\n- Strong understanding of CDC, incremental replication, full loads, and data synchronization patterns.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Oracle CDC and replication using Fivetran.\n\n- Experience working with DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.\n\n- Experience integrating data from SaaS applications, APIs, SFTP/file-based systems, and on-premises sources.\n\n- Strong understanding of secure connectivity between cloud data platforms and enterprise source systems.\n\n- Ability to design ingestion solutions with consideration for performance, scalability, reliability, latency, security, and cost.\n\n- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across data pipelines, connectors, databases, and source systems.\n\n- Good understanding of enterprise data engineering and integration practices.\n\n- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\n- High ownership and accountability with the ability to independently manage assigned deliverables.\n\n- Willingness to learn new data integration technologies and contribute to evolving data engineering practices.\nSkills\nFivetran, Data Ingestion, Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Services, SFTP, SQL","description_format":"text","description_chars":3537,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T16:00:00Z"}],"liveness":{"score":68,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.759,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":11,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["seen:11","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-09-28T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/blue-cloud-softech-solutions-ltd-senior-data-ingestion-engineer-fivetran","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/blue-cloud-softech-solutions-ltd-senior-data-ingestion-engineer-fivetran.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-28T06:40:28Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4766,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":234,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-29T00:00:00Z"}}}
