This position monitors and adjusts electronic sorting equipment, ensuring that production standards are met.RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMakes various adjustments to Electronic Sorting Machines to ensure efficient operation and quality requirements are met.\nConduct tests as required by each process and enter data into computer.\nOperates and adjusts production equipment keeping constantly alert to operating functions ensuring that production standards are met.\nPerform daily setup of equipment.\nFrequently clean equipment and surrounding areas as necessary for efficient operation.\nMay operate various types of ESM Machines. Monitors bin levels. Relieves MPL bin tenders during breaks and lunches.\nContribute within a team environment leading to production improvements.\nMust understand and adhere to Blue Diamond HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.\nRequired to perform other tasks as assigned by management, such as cross training other employees.\nWHAT YOU NEED\n*Minimum qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n1+ years machine operating experience\nPosition requires knowledge of machine operation to keep machinery and equipment operating. \nWorks under general supervision and receives assignments from supervisor, lead operator and line operators.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, maintenance instructions and work schedules. \nMust have basic math skills.\nRequires the ability to identify problems and assist in problem solving.\nMust be able to work overtime and weekends, as necessary.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions.
