Trouble shoot equipment down time and make necessary repairs. Determine root cause and corrective actions from down time analysis. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety procedures while performing job duties.RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforms a wide variety of mechanical maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery using a variety of hand, gas, and electrically powered tools.\nEngages in the welding and fabrication of parts as required.\nResponds to emergency calls and makes immediate repairs to prevent production down time.\nParticipates in machinery troubleshooting.\nPerforms timely Preventative Maintenance checks, and parts replacement in accordance with PM plan for the site.\nAssembles and reassembles equipment; examines and tests mechanisms.\nInspects and calibrates instrumentation.\nTest equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning is within specified standards.\nInterprets technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.\nPromotes occupational safety standards; gives others feedback on their safety performance.\nWHAT YOU NEED\n*Minimum qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED \n3 years of plant maintenance mechanic experience\nSkilled in fabricating items using a welder and sheet metal.\nExperience interpreting and acting on written and verbal job instructions and reports, technical manuals, and data.\nKnowledge of general maintenance activities and procedures including preventative maintenance procedures and best practices.\nExperience operating company vehicles and equipment such as (e.g., forklift, man-lift, etc.)\nAbility to learn new equipment, etc.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions.
