This role involves managing frontline staff, maintaining quality control, improving operational procedures, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are consistently met. Ensures that shift establishes and delivers expectations across Safety, Quality, Service, Performance, and People objectives. Collaborates with the Site Director and the Site Leadership Team to provide the development of plant strategies within the manufacturing department to deliver the site goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nEstablishes, communicates, and executes measurable manufacturing and team member goals to achieve uncompromised safety, quality, service, and performance results.\nMaintain ownership of one or more production/operations systems or tools deployed to drive continuous improvement at the site.\nLeads shift operations to ensure conformance to production schedules, effective inventory control, and achievement of service level goals.\nServes as the Operations Startup Lead for critical projects involving the modification or installation of new equipment.\nAchieves technical mastery of the production process and contributes to innovation initiatives as required.\nLeads a system in key focus areas or continuous improvement efforts, including establishing standards, training team members, inspecting against standards, and measuring results.\nPromote and develop a culture of Zero Waste, Zero Harm, One Team, and 100% Commitment.\nParticipates in creating the Annual Operation Plan, driving improvements in fixed and variable costs.\nPromotes and supports high standards of food safety and sanitation to ensure product quality levels meet or exceed customer and consumer expectations.\nBuilds development plans to enhance the capabilities of team members at all levels.\nActively coaches direct reports to improve individual and team performance.\nFosters continuous learning to create a flexible and agile workforce.\nParticipate as a member of the Site Leadership team to execute strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.\nMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum level of education required \nBachelor's Degree related to the fields of Engineering, Business Management, and Manufacturing.\nMinimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience\n6 years of food or beverage manufacturing experience.\nOther required type(s) of functional experience (e.g. Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)\nExperience supervising manufacturing teams.\nExperience effectively leading a team environment; skilled with translating concepts into concrete examples.\nExperience operating a wide range of food processing equipment; knowledge of SQF and quality standards and requirements. \nCross-functional understanding of maintenance practices and techniques; good understanding of SPC and associated tools.\nOther job requirements (e.g. certifications/licenses, CPG experience, work overtime/weekends, etc.)\n Covers weekends as needed to support 24/7 operations. \nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES (Specialized education, specific software experience, etc.)\nExperience functioning as a proactive team player. \nExperience in coaching and development of both direct reports and broader organization.\nKnowledge of City/County/State & Federal Rules and Regulations concerning municipal codes.\nMust possess strong planning skills with ability to analyze trends and determine corrective actions. \nDemonstrated ability to produce on schedule. \nAct independently in a constructive manner. \nStrongly motivated to improve self. Able to sit/work at a desk for extended periods of time doing things such as analytical work or reports, which requires focus, while utilizing a computer.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nMust be able to work in a plant environment being exposed to dust, high noise levels, extreme temperature and humidity fluctuations, fumes and odors from welding and other maintenance processes, poor lighting, and wet operation work conditions.
