By manufacturing this way, we put nuclear power on the same cost-reduction curve that has made wind, solar, and batteries cheaper every year.\nRole Overview\nThe Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing procurement and supply chain activity across both Owner and Contractor workstreams on Blue Energy's capital programme. The role covers the full purchase order lifecycle - from sourcing and bid management through administration, change control, invoice reconciliation, and close-out - ensuring procurement activity is compliant, well-documented, and commercially controlled.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee and manage both Owner and Contractor project procurement through the full purchase order lifecycle - create, issue, revise, and close out purchase orders, call-off orders, and task orders against master service agreements (MSAs) and equipment supply agreements.\n\nOversee and manage the preparation and validation of change orders and contract amendments, ensuring each change is priced, approved, and documented before work proceeds.\n\nSupport the drafting, issuance, and administration of MSAs, service contracts, NDAs, and amendments in coordination with Contracts and Legal.\n\nEnsure the Owner and Contractor procurement teams maintain contract and purchase order data in the contract lifecycle management (CLM) and ERP systems, ensuring records, values, dates, and supplier information are accurate and current.\n\nOversee sourcing and procurement activities for Owner and Contractor, including assembling bid packages and requests for quotation, distributing them to bidders, tracking supplier responses, and compiling commercial bid tabulations.\n\nOversee supplier onboarding and pre-qualification, including vendor set-up, collection of insurance certificates and compliance documentation, and tracking of expiries and renewals.\n\nSupport Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities - review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, verify pricing and terms against the governing agreement, and expedite approvals in line with the delegation of authority.\n\nOversee the reconciliation of invoices, receipts, and purchase order balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies with suppliers, Accounts Payable, and requisitioners.\n\nExpedite orders and track deliveries, milestones, and progress payments, escalating schedule or commercial issues to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain and Program Manager.\n\nEnsure procurement activity complies with applicable laws and regulations, anti-corruption and ethics requirements, and Blue Energy policies, procedures, and delegation of authority.\n\nMaintain organized, audit-ready procurement records and prepare routine reporting on open orders, commitments, spend, change orders, and supplier performance.\n\nSupport contract and purchase order close-out, including final reconciliation, release of retention or holdbacks, warranty follow-up, and records retention.\n\nServe as a day-to-day point of contact for Owner procurement team and Contractor Procurement lead as well as suppliers and internal stakeholders on purchase order status, documentation, and administrative queries.\n\nQualifications\n10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or supply chain support, ideally on major capital projects in the energy, mining, or infrastructure sector.\n\nHands-on experience administering purchase orders, change orders, and agreements from issuance through close-out.\n\nWorking knowledge of procurement and Procure-to-Pay processes, including requisitioning, approvals, receipting, and invoice reconciliation.\n\nBaseline familiarity with common commercial terms and conditions (e.g., payment, delivery, warranty, insurance, and liquidated damages).\n\nProficiency with the MS Office suite - particularly Excel - and comfort working in ERP and CLM systems.\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nBachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience with a relevant professional certification will be considered.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting major energy or infrastructure projects (e.g., oil and gas, LNG, power, shipbuilding, or renewables).\n\nExperience performing procurement activities in accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NQA-1) requirements.\n\nFamiliarity with owner/operator contracting on major capital projects, including services, and equipment supply agreements.\n\nExperience with ERP and P2P systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or NetSuite) and with CLM tools.\n\nExperience administering supplier insurance compliance and pre-qualification programs.\n\nProfessional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or CPP (or working toward one).\n\nWe look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.\nBlue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
