By manufacturing this way, we put nuclear power on the same cost-reduction curve that has made wind, solar, and batteries cheaper every year.\nRole Summary\nThe Project Quality Manager is a senior leadership role within Blue Energy's Quality Assurance organization, reporting directly to the Director, Quality, and owning project-level quality execution across engineering, procurement, and construction activities. This role manages the Project Quality Assurance (PQA) Leads and Project Quality Engineers (PQE) assigned per project, developing project quality plans, executing surveillances and hold-point inspections, and verifying that deliverables meet contractual and regulatory acceptance criteria. This role will initially include Quality Control responsibility\nThis position will help ensure alignment with NRC regulatory requirements, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and ASME BPVC keeping project execution defensible and audit-ready as Blue Energy's nuclear development program moves from licensing into construction.\nThis is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, innovative project quality professional who thrives in highly regulated environments and is motivated to develop an initial project quality program growing it to scale a for FOAK gas-to-nuclear site development program.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Quality Planning & Governance\nDevelop and maintain project quality plans aligned to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME III and contractual/regulatory acceptance criteria.\n\nEstablish quality hold points, witness points, and surveillance schedules for each active project.\n\nMaintain project-level quality metrics and reporting to support leadership visibility and NRC inspection readiness.\n\nSurveillance & Inspection Operations\nPerform and oversee site surveillances, hold-point inspections, and receipt inspections across active project sites.\n\nReview purchase orders and contracts to verify correct quality requirements are specified before award.\n\nVerify deliverables meet contractual and regulatory acceptance criteria prior to release or turnover.\n\nIdentify, track, and ensure proper closeout of non-conforming conditions and conditions adverse to quality.\n\nSupplier & Contractor Quality Interface\nCoordinate with Supplier Quality on audits, assessments, and approved-supplier status for project-assigned suppliers.\n\nSupport disposition of nonconformances and corrective actions identified during project execution through the Corrective Action Program (CAP).\n\nReporting, Quality & Compliance\nMaintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into surveillance status, inspection findings, and outstanding actions.\n\nSupport internal and NRC or third-party audits and inspections related to project quality.\n\nEnsure documentation and records generated by project quality activities are controlled per Document Control and Records Management requirements.\n\nTeam & Stakeholder Support\nManage and mentor Project Quality Assurance (PQA) Leads and Project Quality Engineers (PQE) assigned per project.\n\nFoster quality (nuclear and non-nuclear) quality culture and concepts to the Blue Energy project team.\n\nPartner with engineering, construction, and project management teams to embed quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nRepresent Quality in project meetings, design reviews, and change control processes as required.\n\nQualifications\n10+ years of experience in nuclear quality assurance and quality control.\n\nSolid working knowledge and experience of nuclear and non-nuclear codes, standards, and methodologies, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and ASME BPVC.\n\nQualified nuclear Lead Auditor.\n\nDemonstrated managerial and leadership experience, including managing embedded project quality staff.\n\nExperience developing project quality plans and performing surveillances and hold-point inspections.\n\nStrong organizational and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset partnering across engineering, procurement, and construction.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nQuality Control (QC) and receipt inspection experience preferred.\n\nExperience supporting large-scale infrastructure, construction, or energy projects; nuclear development projects strongly preferred.\n\nExperience developing project quality processes from the ground up in a program build-out setting.\n\nFamiliarity with NQA-1 program elements and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria at the project level.\n\nRelevant certifications in quality assurance, auditing, or project management (e.g., ASQ CQA, certified nuclear Lead Auditor).\n\nWe look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.\nBlue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
