In this role, you will be responsible for the production and testing of USV’s. You may be building harnesses, sub-assemblies, installing vessel systems or final completion of USV’s. If you have excellent attention to detail, high commitment to safety and quality, enjoy working with teams and desire to produce the best USV’s for our customers mission, we encourage you to apply!\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSafety: Personally lead by example by adhering to all safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of you and your team.\nEnsure proper PPE, tools, equipment, and material handling equipment is used correctly.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.\nManage all material handling and chemical storage processes. \n\nManage and maintain all critical equipment or tools, including systems for testing the vessel systems and controls.\nPerform the assembly tasks related to harness assembly and installation, hull system assembly, and deck assembly. This will include working with sophisticated electronic systems and other critical to mission vessel systems. \nThe highest industry standards for vessel assembly will be employed.\n Quality / Continuous ImprovementConduct in-process quality checks and visual inspections of sub-assemblies, harnesses, vessels in process and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.\nComplete ISPC (In-Station Process Control) sheets to record critical process steps and capture critical to quality, critical to safety and productivity results.\nIdentify and report any discrepancies, malfunctions, or quality issues to manager or manufacturing engineers.\nBe a part of new model design reviews and prototyping of new products and processes.\nParticipate in team meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving processes, efficiency, and product quality.\nAdhere to all company quality procedures.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\n1+ years of experience in boat manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, including assembly diagrams.\nFamiliarity with OSHA, ISO9001 and other manufacturing management practices.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.\nBasic computer skills for completing required HR and Manufacturing processes.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions\nMust be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.\nAbility to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.\nMay be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during assembly processes.\nRegular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.\nOccasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as needed\nRequires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.\nBackground Check\nThis position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
