The Production Planner II works\nclosely with production, materials, engineering, and quality teams to balance priorities, anticipate constraints, and\nmaintain reliable plans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nMaintain an organized digital log of all current projects, tasks, schedules, and priorities.\n\nCreate and maintain production schedules, including daily, weekly, and long-range plans based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and capacity constraints.\n\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to align on timelines, material readiness, machine time, labor availability, and production priorities.\n\nAnalyze capacity and resource requirements to evaluate labor, equipment, tooling, and operational constraints, ensuring balanced and efficient schedules.\n\nManage MRP/ERP planning parameters, ensuring accurate lead times, lot sizes, BOMs, routings, and related data to support stable system planning.\n\nCreate, release, and manage work orders, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely completion on the shop floor.\n\nResolve scheduling conflicts such as shortages, equipment downtime, engineering changes, priority shifts, or unexpected production issues.\n\nSupport inventory management and collaborate with materials teams to prevent shortages, minimize excess, and maintain optimal stock levels.\n\nCommunicate schedule updates, changes, and production impacts clearly and proactively to teams, customer service, and leadership.\n\nAnalyze production data, evaluating KPIs such as adherence, throughput, and cycle times to identify process improvement opportunities.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, supporting workflow optimization, standardization, and lean manufacturing practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and deadlines with accuracy.\n\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred.\n\nAbility to interpret sales forecasts, capacity data, BOMs, routings, and production metrics.\n\nProven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing or production environments is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions\nMust be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.\n\nAbility to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.\n\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.\n\nMay be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations.\n\nRegular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.\n\nOccasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as needed\n\nRequires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.\n\nBackground Check\nThis position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
