Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.\nAs part of a small, passionate, and accomplished group of experts, you will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to rocket engine assembly. Your expertise will also drive improvements for rocket engine component design, maintenance, and refurbishment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable human spaceflight.\nWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!\nResponsibilities:\nManaging personnel, including: recruiting, quarterly performance reviews, coaching, managing work schedule, and monitoring labor hours and overtime.\nPromoting and inspiring teamwork and good employee morale.\nManaging resource projections and personnel assignments to meet demanding schedules.\nProviding status updates on hardware deliveries at daily schedule meeting.\nDeveloping training and ensuring team member training records are accurate.\nInterfacing with engineers to improve assembly procedures and processes.\nWorking with engineering team to develop assembly processes and evaluate equipment, safety, and cost.\nEnsuring all products meet quality standards in accordance with released engineering.\nMaintaining stock of consumable items.\nEnsuring all tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated.\nEnsuring proper 5S and FOD controls are in place and adhered to.\nWorking safely with hazardous chemicals and high pressure.\nWilling to work all shifts.\nQualifications:\nDemonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.\nAbility to work in a team environment with multiple rapidly changing priorities.\nStrong organization skills.\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite.\nExcellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to document and maintain accurate records, as well as read drawings and prints.\nAbility to use standard tools and basic fabrication equipment.\nExperience assembling and troubleshooting aerospace or military hardware.\nFamiliarity with proper disposal of hazardous waste.\nAttention to detail, passion for space and for success.\nDesired:\nExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.\nKnowledge of drawing and work order review and familiarity with inventory and issue tracking systems.\nExperience with wire harnesses, torque tools, ESD handling.\nPhysical Requirements:\nClimb ladders and stairs\nLift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations\nWork schedule may vary and depend on hardware and testing\nRemain flexible by working overtime and weekends (when necessary)\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
