This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Join Blue Origin's fabrication and development teams, focusing on welding & fabrication, machining, final integration and testing of large tooling, landing platforms and other launch infrastructures that will enable us to build the foundation for a road to space. Passion for our mission and vision is required!\nThis position is meant to certify the welds across our fabrication teams.\nQualifications:\nMust have Certified Welding Inspector certification (CWI) with minimum 5 years’ experience.\n\nExperience with the following welding processes: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW\n\nExtensive knowledge of NDT processes including: VT, PT, MT\n\nExperience inspecting to and working in accordance with national fabrication codes and standards (AWS D17.1, ASME BPVC Section IX, B31.1, B31.3, AWS D1.1, 1.2, D1.6, D14.0 etc.)\n\nExperience in upholding shop fabrication requirements established in codes and standards for code compliant fabrication.\n\nExperience in welder performance qualification tasks.\n\nAbility to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in a fast-paced environment.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed.\n\nStrong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle small and large projects with internal and external customers.\n\nAbility to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.\n\nLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position\n\nMust be available to work all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.\n\nMust be willing to travel 25% of the time.\n\nMust be able to work at heights and confined spaces.\n\nDesired:\nExperience in large assembly / tooling fabrication.\n\nExperience developing weld maps as needed to track inspections completed on large assemblies throughout the course of fabrication.\n\nExperience with manufacturing drawing review including robust understanding of welding symbols.\n\nAbility and willingness to train cross-functional engineering teams on welding requirements and weldment design.\n\nExperience working with carbon and stainless steels, aluminum alloys, Ni-based Alloys, and/or other aerospace materials.\n\nExperience in hardware manufacturing processes, (i.e., mechanized welding, machining, cleaning, non-destructive testing methods, tight tolerance assembly, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, working with large assemblies, etc.)\n\nExperience supporting design and manufacturing teams in an aerospace environment, including preparing specifications, test reports, and design substantiation documentation\n\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
