Passion for our mission and vision is required! \nProduces machined parts, products, or components by programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) production equipment. Prepares, programs, and operates CNC machinery. Develops, edits, or modifies operation sequences based on manufacturing sketches, blueprints, or schematics. Sets up machinery for production runs, operates machinery to meet quality and productivity standards, and troubleshoots and resolves errors or discrepancies.\nSpecial Mentions:\nRelocation provided.\n\nMultiple positions available\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDevelopment of machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware.\n\nDevelop manufacturing Mills/Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs\n\nConcept manufacturing plans\n\nDevelop programs.\n\nDesign custom tools and fixtures as needed.\n\nDevelop set-up sheets.\n\nCommunicate with designers and machinists.\n\nDesign for manufacture feedback\n\nMake-buy decision support + machine time estimates.\n\nProcess improvement (both machining actual inputs and administrative process changes)\n\nMaintain configuration control on files and job records.\n\nSafely working within an industrial environment\n\nMaterial sizing\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nPassion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!\n\nMinimum 15 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.\n\nMinimum 10 years in CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam\n\nExcellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.\n\nTools fixture design\n\nSet-up sheet creation\n\nDetermining initial feeds and speeds\n\nCutter selection and when needed cutter design.\n\n5 years of machining experience and working with hardened metals\n\nDesign for manufacture experience\n\nExcellent Communication\n\nMust have Nickel based alloys and Aluminum experience.\n\nFluent in use of precision hand tools and familiar with use of personal computers\n\nIndividual must be self-motivating to prioritize work to meet project completion dates.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nNX experience preferred.\n\nNickel based alloys, copper, Ti experience.\n\nVericut or other program verification software experience\n\nAbility to support off shifts.\n\nExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.\n\nCMM programming/operation\n\nSetup and operate CNC machines.\n\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
