This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer - Business Process Management to join our New Glenn Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team at Blue Origin. This role will drive manufacturing engineering excellence by standardizing ME workflows, championing enterprise automation and digital tool adoption, eliminating recurring and non-value-added (NVA) tasks, and building a robust ME knowledge management ecosystem. The ideal candidate is results-driven, systems-minded, and passionate about building scalable processes that empower engineering teams to deliver high-quality products at scale.\nAs part of a hardworking team of engineers and technical specialists, you will lead the standardization, automation, and knowledge-management initiatives that define how New Glenn Manufacturing Engineering operates. You will own the development of standardized ME processes and documentation, drive integration of enterprise tools (Jules, Windchill, Creo Illustrate, Clear to Build), and build the systems and metrics that provide visibility into ME performance and continuous improvement. This role is crucial to reducing cycle time, improving engineering productivity, and enabling data-driven execution in support of mission success.\nPosition Specific Details\nShifts: 1st | Mon-Fri (8am-5pm)\nLocations: Space Coast, FL\nRelocation: Available\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve standardized ME processes, documentation templates, and best practices. \nEnhance work order quality and consistency by enforcing standard procedures and providing structured guidance on standard notes, drawing requirements, and process specifications. \nIncrease visibility and traceability of ME actions \nStandardize and improve mBOM management within MRP systems. \nProactively identify, evaluate, and integrate new digital and automation tools into daily ME operations. \nServe as a subject matter expert and trainer for emerging enterprise platforms, including Creo Illustrate. \nAccelerate adoption of AI-driven solutions for work order generation and advanced data visualization to enable informed, data-driven decision-making. \nAdvocate for and drive ongoing tool usability improvements to support standardization and efficiency. \nIdentify, automate, and streamline frequently recurring, manual, or non-value-added ME tasks. \nStandardize common tasks and eliminate non-essential work using digital tools, scripts, and best practices. \nReduce operational overhead and enable engineers to focus on high-value, strategic activities. \nTrack and report time savings and capacity gains realized through task optimization. \nLead development of the New Glenn Manufacturing Engineering Handbook. \nDevelop and curate a comprehensive, easily accessible ME knowledge ecosystem, including onboarding materials, training resources, and step-by-step guides for high-impact processes. \nFoster a culture of knowledge sharing through standardized wikis, knowledge bases, and central repositories of standard notes, drawings, reference documents, and checklists. \nBuild ME operating rhythms, dashboards, and KPIs to provide visibility into process standardization, automation adoption, and continuous improvement. \nLead cross-functional initiatives, coordinating with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive process excellence. \nSupport Production/Manufacturing Readiness efforts by ensuring standardized documentation and processes are in place to enable rapid, repeatable execution. \nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. \n5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with demonstrated ownership of process standardization, documentation, or workflow improvement initiatives. \n2+ years of hands-on experience developing standardized processes, templates, or automation solutions within a manufacturing environment. \nProficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tools \nDemonstrated ability to proactively identify inefficiencies, drive process improvements, and lead change across cross-functional teams. \nExcellent technical project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing automated workflows, templates, and standardized systems or processes within a PLM/MES environment \nStrong communication skills for presenting technical information and driving alignment with leadership and cross-functional teams. \nFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing, root-cause/corrective-action, and continuous improvement methodologies. \nExperience with AI/ML technologies, data analytics tools, or digital manufacturing platforms. \nExperience building knowledge management systems, wikis, or technical handbooks. \nDirect experience with aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments. \nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
