Our responsibilities include translating engineering requirements and intent into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight. Throughout the manufacturing process, we are responsible to improve quality, reduce cost, and tooptimizebuild sequence. Our team also creates, interprets, andmodifieswork instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning.\nIf you share our passions and vision, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, excel with integrated multi-functional teams of individuals, who are experienced and skilled in several relevant technologies (even if perhaps not in the aerospace industry), and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and improve, then we would love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDevelop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define fabrication, assembly, and integration processes.\nManage quality, build sequence, and schedule for hardware manufacturing processes.\nEvaluate engineering changes and perform impact assessments, changes, reviews and approvals for manufacturing work products.\nDisposition non-conformance repair and rework activities.\nDesign and maintain production tooling.\nClosely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process\nSupport the manufacturing floor in assembly and installation, compliance to engineering requirements, discrepancy resolution, and component acceptance testing.\nPerform a hands-on engineering and liaison role between our design, test, and operations teams and our manufacturing customers.\nInvestigate root causes, disposition vehicle discrepancies, and take ownership of preventative and corrective actions.\nDrive design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA).\nMinimum QualificationS:\nBS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university\n3 or more years direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment supporting constantly evolving design iterations\ndemonstrated ability in component fabrication, precision assembly, and testing using a variety of methods, techniques, and materials\nAbility to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures\nStrong aptitude for mechanical system design and hands-on fabrication experience\nExperience with designing, measuring, modifying, and monitoring processes\nComfortable working with computers and engineering software\nAbility to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization\nExceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills, particularly in regard to attention to detail\nMust be physically able to:Support production floor activities.\nClimb stairs and work in small areas.\nLift and carry 40 lbs.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAerospace/Launch vehicle experience.\nBroad experience in hardware manufacturing: welding, assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, packaging, fabrication, machining, etc.\nGeneral proficiency with CAD.\nExperience with Manufacturing Execution Systems/Software and processes\nKnowledge of fabrication processes, integration processes, systems engineering practices, test, quality, and configuration management systems\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma\nFamiliar with applicable industry standards\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
