Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!\nThis role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As a member of a small team, the Ordnance Coordinator will lead the New Glenn Mission Operations and Orbital Launch Site ordnance systems management as well as develop and execute ordnance operations for Mission Operations at the launch site. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Blue Origin’s Orbital Launch Site and requires strong drive, attention to detail, organization, working long hours, and the ability to multi-task. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.\nResponsibilities:\nProject Manager for New Glenn Mission Operation ordnance program\nLeads and manages the New Glenn Mission Operations Ordnance inventoryMaintains DOT CFR 49 & IATA Hazardous Material Shipping Certification\nTracks Ordnance Items from Supplier\nArranges Ordnance Delivery/Receipt\nMaintains Master Ordnance List\nAssigns Serial Numbers by Vehicle - FIFO\nSchedules Service Life Testing (SLT)\nArranges Ordnance Shipments (Testing, Offsite Work, VAFB)\nCoordinates Ordnance Receipt, Storage & Delivery with Ordnance Services (Magazines)\nTracks ordnance lot status and testing\nMonitors industry notifications for similar ordnance systems (e.g. GIDEP)\n\nManage relevant assigned projects with responsibility for project planning, development, and change management, input to budget development and updating, clearly defining assigned project deliverables to the Mission Execution Manager.\nCoordinate assigned project, daily business relationships and expectations in conjunction with overall Operations deliverables.\nWork with the Managers within Operations to support and provide input into the Strategy, Master Schedules and Plans in order for Operations to achieve its goals.\nProvide strong leadership and support within the organization to always consider problem solving to ‘Root Cause’, ensuring that we eliminate repeat issues.\nDevelop ordnance operations training materials for inclusion into the Blue Learning Management System.\nObtain State of Florida User License or Blasters Permit\nSupport launch vehicle integration operations at the Orbital Launch Site as required.\nQualifications:\n10 or more years of work experience with ordnance operations and inventory control\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to present Blue Origin to our customers in both written and personal meeting scenarios\nExperience with developing and executing launch operations procedures\nMust be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)\nMust be able to pass a background investigation to gain access to Cape Canaveral AFS.\nKnowledge of BATF regulations\nThe ability to work on own initiative and under pressure\nExperience working in a fast moving environment and be able to demonstrate good time management and organizational skills\nAbility to represent the company internally and externally in a highly professional and credible manner\nAble to work full time schedule, overtime, on-call nights, weekends, and holidays\nExperience working with the requirements of AFMAN 91-201 and DESR 6055.09-M\nPosition requires: lifting (50lbs), climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying, and standing for extended periods (8 hours min.)\nAble to work in harsh climate environment.\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\nDesired:\nBachelor Degree or equivalent in business, supply chain management, logistics, or related field of study\n8 or more years of Operations experience (Manufacturing, Material Management and/or Engineering)\n5 or more years in a Leadership Role responsible for Technical Products, Project Cost & Schedule Performance\nFlexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends.\nExperience with ERP systems\nIntermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)\nExperience with project management/scheduling experience (MS Project, Primavera P6)\nExperience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)\nBlue Origin offers a phenomenal work environment and awesome culture with competitive compensation, benefits, 401K, and relocation.\nBlue Origin is an equal opportunity employer .
