This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As the shift leader of a team of precision cleaning technicians, you will set technical directions, build team members to support current and future program needs, be responsible for employee life cycle including hiring, performance management, training and providing tools for career development. You will help to improve technical processes, best practices, and tool development around focused areas of chemical corrosion processing, equipment operation, and hardware development cycles.\nWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!\nResponsibilities:\nShift leader for precision cleaning technician personnel in day-to-day operations\nExecute and make informed schedule decisions referencing tradeoff and capacity analyses\nReview and create metric tools to gauge technician performance and schedule adherence\nConduct data-driven performance reviews\nResponsible for establishing workstation assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employees\nMaintain and communicate precision cleaning facility schedule status to ensure meeting customer expectations\nProvide first level escalation support to employees regarding HR issues (employee relations, worker's compensation, disciplinary actions, timecards, PTO requests)\nIdentifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and implementing change to improve process, reduce cycle and setup times\nMaintain all precision cleaning facility programs. These programs include 5S, Lean, Cleaning and Safety\nEnsure all team members follow work instructions, quality requirements, chemical handling procedures, and EHS compliance\nEnsure accurate chemical processing technician staff data recording. Namely clock-in/clock-out activities\nProvide continued training and skills development for team members, and mentor early career team members\nEnsure start-up readiness for production including chemical bath preparation and monitoring\nMaintain precision cleaning facility organization, safety, and cleanliness\nSupport design for manufacturing and provide job planning estimates\nAbility to perform interviews, evaluate talent and provide hiring recommendations\nSafely work within a chemical processing environment with hazardous materials\nRegular expectation of working overtime aligned with department needs\nQualifications:\n3+ years of leadership experience\n3+ years' experience in precision cleaning/field operations\nRoot cause and corrective action analysis experience\nAdvanced computer skills such as ERP/MRP, scheduling software (MS Project, P6, etc.), SQL/Python, Microsoft Office Suite, Generative AI, etc.\nUtilize KPIs to take action that improves performance\nStrong communication skills with heavy customer focus\nMust have a continuous improvement mindset\nClear understanding of production versus development environments\nFamiliarity with precision cleaning processes such as gross cleaning, verification, field cleaning operations, and industry specifics\nAbility to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.\nStrong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities\nClimb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas\nWork at heights on work stands and in lifts.\nPerform repetitive work\nMust be able to set a high hiring bar while evaluating and hiring top talent\nDesired:\nExperience with gross cleaning, precision cleaning, confined space, equipment maintenance, hydro testing, field cleaning procedures\nKnowledge of hazardous material handling and EHS regulations\nOverhead crane operation and rigging for large aerospace components\nTooling and fixture design\n5S, Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen experience\nKnowledge of installation and assembly tolerances\nExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
