Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.Job Summary:\nWe are seeking a software engineer to join Blue Origin's Warehouse and Inventory Technology team. Our systems track hundreds of thousands of parts used to build our rockets, serve thousands of users daily, and are a critical input to Blue Origin's fast-moving manufacturing operations.\nKey responsibilities include:\nCollaborating extensively with other engineers to deliver features from our ambitious roadmap.\nImplementing new features using backend and frontend programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and React.\nIntegrating with AWS products such as DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, and others.\nUtilizing modern design patterns and frameworks such as GraphQL, REST APIs, and message queues.\nParticipating in code reviews and helping peers write high-quality code.\nCommunicating ideas clearly through words, diagrams, and code.\nDiagnosing and resolving issues within existing software and addressing technical challenges as they arise.\nThe ideal candidate will have a background in software development and a passion for innovation in aerospace.\nThis position is part of the Enterprise Technology (ET) organization, where we develop the digital infrastructure needed to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology serves as the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology with business strategy.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience writing software and deploying it to production environments.\nProficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java or C++).\nStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and common data structures.\nExperience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to deliver production-ready code.\nAbility to write efficient, working code given clear requirements.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to build trust and maintain positive relationships in a team setting.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.\nA passion for space exploration and a commitment to Blue Origin's mission.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, or the defense industry.\nExperience with any of the following:iOS, Android, or React Native app development.\nHTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React.\nContinuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) strategies.\nRelational or non-relational databases.\n\nBase Pay Range for:\nWA applicants is $134,961.00 - $188,945.40Other site ranges may differ\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
