In this role, you’ll develop embedded software and systems for our computer vision-enabled agricultural products, including the Bay Area’s highest-density compute platform for robotics. If so, this role will be an outstanding next step in your career!\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nWork Location: Santa Clara, CA\nVisa sponsorship: Available for this position.\nJob Responsibilities\nDevelop, enhance, and debug new and existing software applications, kernels, and device drivers for impactful robotics computing in C/C++ and Rust within a Linux environment.\nEnhance camera and sensor capabilities, image quality, and exposure configuration; support training data collection operations.\nEnsure OS (Yocto) support is implemented properly for sensors.\nBuild automated driver and camera regression tests that run in continuous integration on hardware-in-the-loop platforms. \nConduct embedded design reviews and code reviews, providing guidance to resolve difficult driver bugs which may require extensive troubleshooting.\nImplement embedded design best practices and methodologies to ensure high performance and reliability, with a strong emphasis on real-time programming considerations.\nRequired Experience and Skills\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.\n1-3 years of experience developing embedded software.\nFamiliarity with cameras/other sensors and camera interfaces (e.g., MIPI CSI-2).\nStrong attention to detail with a focus on testing and continuous integration practices.\nKnowledge of real-time systems and performance optimization techniques.\nPreferred Experience and Skills\nCamera and camera interface testing, including performance testing under physical conditions such as shock/vibe, EMI, and temperature.\nExpertise in Linux kernel device driver development and tuning real-time applications for low latency.\nExperience in development on ARM platforms (NVIDIA Jetson) and Linux (Yocto, meta-tegra) embedded systems.\nV4L2 camera driver expertise.\nExperience with NVIDIA driver development.\nExperience building or maintaining continuous integration pipelines for embedded software.\nMiddleware experience, particularly with pub/sub architectures.\nOnly individual applicants will be considered. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $122,000 - $183,000/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and a competitive benefit package.
